The hotel is great and the beach and nature around it are absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are lovely — friendly, smiley, and helpful. The hotel runs on solar energy and rainwater which is really cool and shows they care about the environment.

We had a wonderful five-night honeymoon stay. From the warm welcome to the stunning beach location on one of Bocas del Toro’s most beautiful islands – everything was perfect. The restaurant is excellent, with delicious food and great service. Special thanks to Joel for his kindness and attentiveness. The hotel is very well maintained, the room was beautiful and well designed, and even small issues were handled quickly and warmly. A big thank you to Pablo, the restaurant and bar manager, for his great help and for going above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

Location at red frog was awesome! Super friendly stuff, awesome and well maintained clean facilities. Free yoga, drinking water. Pool and chill area was great. Food was delicious! Dorms were super nice, cozy clean and well maintained and also lots of space for everyone!

Fantastic place! We had an incredible time there. The restaurant food is amazing and directly at the beach. There is a wide range of accommodation available and lots of tours to choose from. Great location also to see wildlife directly on your doorstep.

“Beach, rainforest and everything else in between!”

Palmar is a lovely hotel right in the rainforest and on the beach. We loved the hotels decor and feel, and loved how we could hear all the birds and sounds of the rainforest from our rooms. We saw lots of red frogs in the hotel grounds and a sloth. The hotel puts on activities throughout the day which we loved. We really enjoyed the two live music nights while we were there. The staff were great and very friendly, and the food in the restaurant was some of the best we had on our trip. Thank you Palmar for an amazing stay!

“I am impressed!”

We really liked the hotel, the surrounding nature, the beaches, the evening program, the excursions and entertainment offered. But what we liked most was the hotel staff. First of all, their sincerity, professionalism. Only upon arriving at the hotel did we realize that we did not have flight tickets back to Panama City from Bocas del Toro. Unfortunately, the nearest flight tickets were too late for us... And here the front desk agents sincerely came to our aid. They arranged all the logistics for us, booked ferries between the islands and a bus to Panama City. We are extremely grateful to the front desk agent Zulay (I hope I remember her name well) and her colleague (I'm sorry, but I don't remember his name) for all their help and smiles.

“Jungle and beach vibe in one”

A beautiful location — we spotted dolphins and caimans right as we stepped off the dock upon arrival. The garden and beachfront are lovely, and you really feel surrounded by jungle while still being just a short walk from the beach. The staff were very kind, attentive, and personal — especially Gregory — and our room was cleaned daily. Great breakfast.

The lodge is beautiful, also its location. Pool and beach area are great. Lots of poison dart frogs in trees and between greenery of rooms of lodge.

Very beautiful property in a great natural setting. The rooms are lovely, well designed, and comfortable. Staff is generally friendly, although English skills are limited, which was not a major issue.
