Very good laundry service.The bicycles you can use for free to explore the island in a more sustainable way, we used them to go to town for grocery shopping or just cruising around or a quick surf check😊

Wood cabins inside jungle. Howler monkey chorus, beautiful birds. Beautiful walks to empty white sand beaches, Surfer bars and restaurants nearby. Maxi and Jane v.helpful.

Incredible and kind hosts, Maxi took us to the beach to show us the best places to surf and how to safely get in and out. It is a wonderful casita lodge in the middle of the jungle but 5 minutes from everywhere you need. Maxi and Jane even lent us bicycles to ride around - looking forward to staying here again

I have just finished my stay at Jungle Paunch and I really want to go back. Maxi is a great host, be will do everything to make you feel comfortable and help with whatever you need. Inside the cabins you will find the story of how Jungle Paunch was built and it is simply inspiring; a true eco lodge. the surroundings are magnificent and you can hear not only all the sounds of the jungle, but also the waves crashing in the sea very close by. an extraordinary experience, with regular visits from many animals! There is also a higher platform on the property that is excellent for meditating in the early morning and late afternoon! the Paunch area is very quiet, and Bluff beach - one of the owners’ passions - is well worth the visit. I couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you so much Maxi and Jane for your inspiring work!

The place itself is beautiful. You feel right in the jungle in every room of the lodge.the jungle sounds are wonderful and we spotted toucans and agoutis. It is clean and the wood is so nice to walk on. Jane was so welcoming and helpful. I wasn't well during the trip and Jane did everything she could to make me feel better.

“Beautiful treehouse apartments set right into the jungle”

Loved our stay here! Tucked back into the jungle but 5 minute walk to the beach. This place exceeded our expectations. Simple and beautiful treehouse studios with howler monkeys in the trees around the property. So peaceful. The owners were amazing and so so kind. You can tell how much love goes into this place. If you're looking to relax, this is the spot!

“Very special and enjoyable stay in the middle of the jungle”

We enjoyed our days at Jungle Paunch a lot. The treehouse is great, you can spend the entire day in the hammock watching the many tropical animals. It is a great experience to wake up by howler monkeys. We caught some days with a lot of wind, so swimming nearby was not easy - the beaches are rather for surfing. One day we hiked to the beautiful and perfectly calm bay la piscina. During the day there are many taxis around, so you can use those to get to Bocas town or further north instead. We found a lonely planet guidebook in the apartment, which was very helpful. The hosts are very friendly and know the area perfectly to suggest activities.

Fantastic location, in the jungle, surrounded by all of the sounds and the animals, which was amazing. You can hear the ocean from your room. Good size bathroom, comfortable bed with a welcome mosquito net. balcony areay was really nice too, with bench and hammock. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Jungle Paunch! The accomodation in the jungle is magical with monkeys and birds in the trees and also the sound of the waves. The place is clean and equipped with everything you need. Jane and Maxi are the best hosts, they inform you of all the things to do in Bocas and are very kind people. We would highly recommend this place and hope to come back one day!

Really smooth stay. You're literally in the jungle. That means sloth, monkeys and tucanos are your direct neighbours. The cabins are well made and follow a good concept. The hosts are very friendly and have a ton of information about the area. 100% recommendation

“Excellent, unique stay close to the surf spots”

Excellent, down-to-earth stay in the jungle but close to the surf spots. Great and caring hosts that showed us around and helped us when we had questions. The place is really unique, spacious and has all that‘s needed - and not a bit more - and is super well thought through.

We enjoyed our time at the Jungle Paunch. It was great to relax on the terrace and watch monkeys climbing in the trees. For a tree house in the Jungle, it was surprisingly clean. We had no animals in the room except for a geko. There were enough kitchen utensils. Some fruit and 2 beers were free. Drinking water was available. Since it was filtered rainwater, it had a different taste. For 5$ you can wash and dry clothes. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower. We were not lucky with the weather and it often rained from evening to morning. So it was cold in the night. Due to the humidity, clothes/towels/swimsuits never really got dry. But Maxi offered us to use the dryer. Because of the tin roof the rain was very loud. There were also some noisy neighbors nearby. Therefore we recommend earplugs. There are no supermarkets in the area, so you should shop groceries in Bocas town. The waves were too strong to go into the water near to the Jungle Paunch. We found a place 30 minutes walk towards Bocas town where the water was quiet and where you could swim. Maxi and Jane are great hosts. If you have any questions or requests you can reach them by WhatsApp or in person in the neighbour house.

The location is exceptional. Just a few steps into the jungle but you feel like you're somewhere completely remote in the jungle. The huts are super clean and spacious. If you book it, plan at least one day to spend a full day just in or rather infront of the hut. You'll get the full jungle entertainment incl. monkeys, sloths, various birds, bats. The hosts are really welcoming and helpful with tips and stories from their jungle life. Thanks for the awesome stay :-)

“Relaxing, jungle immersed stay close to beaches and with wonderful hosts”

The location is amazing, nestled in the trees and walking distance to wonderful beaches

Beautiful interior with a cofortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Internet was also good! Also the mosquito net around the bed was good and necessary. Make sure to bring good repelent. You will need it!!! The host is also very welcoming.
