“Very comfortable and cheap”
I slept in a very comfortable and airy tent. Probably much cooler to sleep in then in a room without ac. The owner is friendly and very helpful. I kept extending my stay here because I liked it so much. It is very clean and quiet. There are lots of hammocks to hang in and the mattrasses were very comfortable.

“Characterful and beautiful, rough-around-the-edges-in-a-good-way basic accom on a budget”
Owner and staff are excellent, super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Free bicycles, clean and comfortable rooms, bathrooms and tents. The tents are pitched undercover in a fun, elevated and almost treehouse-like 2-level wooden structure which also houses the private rooms. It's a budget place, so set expectations accordingly and enjoy a really nice chill time surrounded by nice people, flowers, hummingbirds and occasional howler monkeys...

“Calm place perfect to explore the island”
I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it.

The hostel was super cheap which was great for travellers (like us) who are on a budget. The option to rent a fan was great too although it actually wasn’t too hot at night. Loved the outside shower! It’s a little bit further out of town but only $1 for a taxi so not bad at all.

Nice guy on reception let us pay later as we didn't have cash on arrival. The mattress in the tent was surprisingly comfy. Plenty of places to charge your phone. Decent communal area to chill. Overall it was fine for one night.

everything was great but what it really stand Out was Victor with his good heart and genuine interest in making sure everything was okay at all times . I honestly been travelling for 2 months and no one shown the same care as him plus he gave me really good directions for my time in Bocas.
