magical place, with magical atmosphere. thanks to Mary and Chris we had an amazing time. from the small things to the big ones, everything is so beautiful and you can see and feel the thoughts behind it. the food is amazing, the facilities, the owners that taking care for everything you need… if you look for the perfect vacation to enjoy nature, relax, have some quiet time with wonderful food- this is your place! we enjoyed every moment there

“Amazing place, a true paradise island!”

What an incredible paradise! We spent 2,5 weeks traveling around Costa Rica & did a short 2 nights stay in Panama at Finca de Vela in the middle of our trip. One of the highlights of the whole trip. Perfect location, 5* bungalow with breathtaking views, great snorkeling & amazing kayaking in the middle of the mangrovs. And such lovely hosts! What else could you wish for!? And the food: best on the whole trip. Simple, yet innovative, mainly just locally (meaning on the very same small island) produced ingredients, magnificiently prepared. Kids absolutely loved everything too. Merci et à très bientôt on espère!

“Don’t miss Finca Vela when traveling the Bocas, you’ll love it.”

We stayed at Finca Vela with the family (kids age 6 and 8) for 4 nights. What a wonderful place. So much eye for detail and love and attention. That in combination with the truly beautiful and tranquil surroundings and delicious daily fresh prepped food (ingredients from own garden), made it almost magical. We travelled quite a lot throughout the years, but haven’t seen many places where everything was just right and even more.
