“A wonderful paradise in Bocas del Toro”

We spent five days completely immersed in this wonderful paradise. Eden Jungle Lodge is stunning in terms of its surroundings, and it’s a place where you can truly unwind. That was exactly our plan: halfway through our journey across Panama, to pause for a moment, enjoy the beautiful views, listen to the sounds of monkeys, and finally have time to read a book. That we would also be so incredibly well taken care of was a real surprise! Susan and Ivan are exceptionally hospitable, and we truly felt welcome in their home. Their dog Sailor regularly kept us company, which added to the warm and cozy atmosphere. What makes this location special is waking up in the morning to the sounds of monkeys, spotting many birds, and even seeing sloths. There is also plenty of equipment available to stay active. You can go paddleboarding or kayaking, or—like we did—enjoy a workout on the terrace using our own resistance bands. What we especially appreciated were Susan’s cooking skills. Every dish is prepared with so much love, care, and flavor that the plate is emptied every single time. Everything was absolutely yummy 😋

A Hidden Gem in the Jungle - Perfect New Year's Getaway We spent New Year's Eve 2025 at Eden Jungle Lodge and it was absolutely magical. The location is stunning - nestled in the heart of the jungle and surrounded by cacao plantations. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being immersed in such lush greenery was an unforgettable experience. Karen and Ivan, who recently took over the lodge, were wonderful hosts. They were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay special. Their hospitality made us feel right at home despite being in such a remote and beautiful location. The real highlight was the food. Our chef prepared absolutely outstanding meals throughout our stay - every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The quality and care put into each meal elevated the entire experience. If you're looking for a unique, peaceful escape surrounded by nature with exceptional hospitality and incredible food, Eden Jungle Lodge is the place. We can't recommend it highly enough!

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful jungle and features a huge private area to explore. We saw a sloth, howling monkeys, frogs and lots of beautiful birds. It is situated in a remote bay that can be explored with the kayak. Since Aug 2025 the hotel has new owners.

We booked the place primarily due to the rating and reviews, and were surprised to find out it is no longer run by the much referred to French couple, but by Ivan&Susan (find their self-introduction somewhere on here). The setting is still lovely, but the experience not at all the same, unfortunately. We spotted the resident howler monkeys and sloths.

Judith and Fabrice were lovely!! They were great with any needs we had, they cooked us a delicious breakfast each morning and had a delicious dinner too! We are vegetarian too and we’re really happy! They were great with my 3 year old son too! We went kayaking and fabrice helped us with all the gear and equipment! Would definitely come back!

Fabrice & Judith offer wonderful hospitality. The location is beautiful and is well kept. We were inspired by the magnificent work in building and maintaining the lodge and surroundings. It really feels like a lodge that blends in the jungle perfectly. I hope we will have the opportunity to visit them again soon.

location (great hideout in jungle), facilities (everything felt really luxurious, also activity options like pool table, snorkeling, fishing and kayaks), friendly owners (inspiring what they built), great food - tip: snorkeling and dolphin trip (never seen so many so close). fantastic place for ultimate relaxing.

“Paradise with perfect food.”

1. Location: This place is paradise. The views from the terrace are incredible. They have a beautiful garden which is very much jungle. It comes with lots of pretty birds, monkeys, sloths, fruits and flowers. It's also very quiet (besides the sound of nature). 2. Food: There's nothing about the food that could be improved. Breakfast was incredible, with lots of fruit, and so was every other meal I had. Judith really places a lot of importance on the quality of the ingredients. Considering the quality it comes at a very good price. Great juices and I in particular loved the homemade hot chocolate. 3. Hosts: Judith and Fabrice are so nice and friendly. And really went out of their way to make sure that I had a great time there. For example when I mentioned to Judith how much I loved her chocolate she made sure there was some for every meal. 4. Comfort: It really is hotel standard which I found astonishing given that they are in the jungle. Hot water, very clean room and bathroom, great bed. And it was all done by someone with really good taste. Each room also has a lovely terrace with comfortable chairs and hammock and great view.

What's not to love at Eden Jungle? Magnificent views, excellent food prepared with much care, attention to detail - we went with teenagers and they set up a pool table, foosball table and more-, possibility to visit a Cacao farm, see how it's made and served in different dishes, kayak adventures and boat trips, and last but not least two great hosts that care for nature and the community where they now live. We truly enjoyed meeting Judith and Fabrice.
