“A bit overpriced place with wildlife and near the beach”

The place is well located, just a few meters from the sea. Sea is really strong here. The waves are massive, during the night you can hear them a lot. We met monkeys, birds and agutis right in the resort. It was amazing. The beach is amazing to walk with almost no people. We had a beautiful horse ride to a Piscina beach that we recommend.

We had an awesome stay at the Bluff Beach Retreat! It’s located in a jungly environment, which we enjoyed a lot. We saw and heard a lot of wildlife around us. The house and room itself are designed beautifully and smart, so that it’s enjoyably cool, especially at nights. It’s great to have the opportunity to use the spacious shared kitchen. We chose to have breakfast there as well, which was buffet style. Not to forget about the pool and yoga Shala, great for some training during the stay. The beach is beautifully, with spectacular waves and great for surfing. Last but not least the hosts are super friendly and accommodating. We were sad, that we haven’t booked a longer stay!

“Perfect location, beautiful beach and pool”

Albeit a small challenge to locate (no sign at the gate) Amazing location, extraordinary beach just meter from the property. The hosts are very welcoming and serve the best breakfast we have had in 3 weeks of travelling Panama. Unfortunately during our stay we were not woken by apes, but on the property we spotted toucan, sloth and parrots

“A true paradise”

We had an amazing family holiday at Bluff Beach Retreat! Augusto and Anita and all staff are doing an excellent job to care for their guests. We felt very welcome, received many helpful recommendations and enjoyed the extremely delicious breakfast. Our room was clean at all times and very spacious for us three. There are only very few mosquitos, we felt safe and the beach right at across the road (which was not busy) was beautiful. Unlike some other hotels around here, ours was always quiet with only nature sounds to hear which we enjoyed. No music all day long, no queuing at the pool and the other guests were very friendly and nice to talk to. Make sure to do some grocery shopping before coming to the hotel as there are no shops around. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back one day to this paradise place.

“Beautiful property perfect if you want to hide away in lush surroundings”

Situated in a lush garden with a long pool. Very relaxed, nicely made and furnished. Plenty of space to hang out. Beach right in front of the property, you just need to cross the road (which is a euphemism as it is a dirt track full of potholes and puddles), there is very little traffic. Complimentary bikes. And plenty of fauna around. We could watch monkeys at breakfast and found plenty of sloths in the neighbourhood. Staff was very friendly and breakfast homemade and tasty. There are several restaurants in walking distance.

“Would love to go back and stay longer!”

Great location right on the long quiet beautiful beach & far enough away from the madding crowds. With plenty of things to do & all the lovely restaurants nearby this was a perfect place for us to stay and unwind after a stay in the city. Would definitely recommend this place to those seeking this type of holiday. Augusto was particularly helpful with his local knowledge of the birds & wildlife in the surrounding area and also extremely helpful when booking taxis etc. Thank You for making our stay so memorable.

The Retreat is an amazing place on Isla Colon, if you prefer to stay out of town, enjoying the beauty of Bluff Beach. Our room was beautiful. The gardens are amazing, we have been spotting sloths, monkeys, lots of different species of hummingbird, toucan, and so much more. The breakfast was great and the staff always so helpful and welcoming. We went on a nature walk that Martin recommended to us with a resident biologist (Corinna) and we enjoyed it a lot! Else, we spent our days at the beach, in the garden, or at the pool - it was exactly what we have been looking for.

“Paradise on earth”

The Bluff Beach Retreat is an absolute paradise. We felt comfortable from the first minute. The beach, the jungle, the nature is breathtaking. Added to this is the warmth and helpfulness of the hosts. We will miss the breakfast, the beautiful room, the sounds of nature, the sloths and monkeys. It was very sad for us and our children to drive. We will definitely come back.

Gorgeous location, lovely grounds and pool, wonderful staff and fabulous breakfast.

A paradise in jungle beach Bluff, the house is stunning, the pool is amazing, the beach is at 20 meters, wifi is 150mbps, the staff is adorable, yoga classes are great, breakfast is tasty!

Everything except the road to the hotel was great! truly great. But it is not for everyone. It is like living in the jungle , with no AC so you can hear the sounds
