“We enjoyed the abandonment of that 5 star resort feeling. This was truly a worth while. I'll be back”

Breakfast was great. The people catered to all our needs. The view was awesome. We saw many monkeys and colorful birds. We explored a couple of beaches around the island and found them amazing. It was as if we were the only ones there! Having the water birds, monkeys, and iguanas to be observed so close to us made it special.

Remote, quiet, beautiful. Easy to get to from boca chica. Tons of howler monkeys around, they even pass by your room. Beautiful common areas with hammocks, great bar, restaurant is good, bit on expensive side but not crazy. Dont expect the sea to be clear though, its not. The only clear water in the region is on isla bolaños, which is very nice and they happily arrange you a trip there. There are no stays on isla bolanos so its a good base to visit the islands. Recommended. Very cute dog too.

I dont really understand all the mixed reviews. The location is a dream. The view on their terrace is amazing. And the small jungle-path with two small beaches behind the hotel is very beautiful and totally worth it. The hosts (including cleaning personal) are extraordinary nice and really make an effort to give you the best possible stay. The rooms are clean, mosquito protected and have fans. The equipment is simple and there are a few cracks in the wall. But wtf are people expecting? A five star luxus hotel for this price? I actually think it is much better the way it is, beacause it not only is more affordable, it also is way more authentic and positively contributes to an authentic experience of the nature as it not destroys the nature but compliments it. Also beacause of this it is not overcrowded on the Island. I had a wonderful stay and will definetly come back if i ever get the chance. The monkey that come to visit are obvoiusly a highlight.

“Perfekt”

What a special place to cool down and relax! The whole team was so kind and helpful, in spite of the owner died some months before - thank you so much for that extraordinairy effort . We only had well done meals and tasty breakfasts, as well as the transport to Puerto Boca Chica or the lift to the boattours were always reliable. A walk over the Island is a exiting encounter with plants, butterflys and monkeys. If you‘re looking for quiet and relaxing days, Boca Brava is the Right place.

“I wish I could have stayed there forever”

I don"t know how to find words for this very special place. The room was perfect: equipped with everything you need, with a great view and the sound of waves. The place is just beautiful. It is located on a hill surrounded by water in three directions and jungle at the other. You are in the middle of the nature, you can see animals, its so peaceful and quiet. Walking around at the island is nice and you have the beach there on you own. The beach is also nice and safe for swimming. The hammocks have just the best views. The food is delicious: they have many different options; there are a lot of side dishes also including potatoes and dishes with different sauces (things I was missing in other Panamanian restaurants a lot). And everything is tasty. The service is super attentive and professionell. But the best thing are the people there. From the very beginning they made me feel like being a long lost family member who returned home after many years. I'm still overwhelmed by the kindness of everyone there. If I come back to Panama, I"ll definitely visit this place again. Thanks a lot for everything!

“Lovely place to see nature”

Lovely restaurant area. Great to see howlers from there and from our beautiful a/c room. Food was good. We walked to the beach and swam listening to the howlers.

Meals were served in the main dining room and overall were very tasty. Prices were reasonable and everything was freshly prepared. Food and drinks were available all day which was nice since there were no fridges or coffee makers in the rooms. The beach was gorgeous although it's about a 15 minute walk with inclines. This lodge is not for anyone who has mobility issues. The 80 steps up from the water alone are a workout. Staff were very accommodating and helpful, but you definitely need to know Spanish or use Google translate to ensure good communication. They booked our tours but we ended up on the wrong tour (beach instead of snorkelling)and the price was not as advertised. The view from our balcony was lovely and we appreciated the AC and fan.

Friendly, good priced, happy hour every day

I did not stay here as it was not accessible by car. The hotel is only accessible by boat. This was not mentioned in the property description. I cancelled as I could not reach the hotel. My credit card was charged nevertheless. I would appreciate a refund and would love stay at the hotel another time, knowing that boat transportation must be arranged in advance. It sounds lovely.

Amazing location, great staff, great food, great wildlife and beaches

We loved the views and the wonderful friendly women that worked there! It was great seeing and hearing the howling monkeys. The food was good and reasonably priced. Happy hour was a bonus.

The Lodge is a gem in the island jungle. Anyone visiting northern Panama should consider Boca Brava Lodge a great stay. The Howler monkeys and birds will surprisingly captivate your attention.

Wonderful location, right in the forest of Boca Brava. Exceptionally welcoming and helpful hosts: Frank and Jessica did their utmost to make our stay as pleasant and as much fun as possible. A big `Thank you' to them both.
