Overlooking the Norwegian Sea and right by the Andøya National Tourist Route, this island holiday park offers studios and cottages with a kitchenette, private bathroom and free Wi-Fi access. The iron-age Bakkansletten Farm is 2 km away. A flat-screen TV and cooking hobs feature in all studios at Marmelkroken AS. Each cottage has a private patio, microwave and a sleeping loft. “Like a home on vacation!”
What a gem we found! Due to booking our stays a bit short notice, we couldn't get all the places we had planned, and Marmelkroken was a sort of backup option. Little did we know. We had issues arriving on time due to delays in the whale safari in Andenes, but a quick phone call sorted it all out and our room key was waiting for us despite late arrival. The rooms are much nicer in person than they are in the pictures and breakfast was so lovingly prepared by extremely friendly staff. Watching the (not quite) midnight sun from the bird watching pavilion after a long day was just the crown on an amazing stay.

“A prefect place to stop by for the “night” on our cross-country road trip.”
The location was very good with a beautiful view over the open sea. The staff was very friendly and the fish of the day that was served by the in-house restaurant was special and extremely well prepared. The breakfast was good too – simple but thoughtful and with local specialties.
