We spent two nights in the guesthouse. The rooms and common areas were very clean and spacious and contained all the necessary equipments for a comfortable stay. The kitchen in particular had everything needed to cook. The location is beautiful, you can walk from the house into the nearby mountains and have a nice view over the valley. The guesthouse is also part of a horse farm, where you can book a horse ride/farm stay (we booked this tour via the website Islandshestar). We greatly recommend this tour as it was a wonderful experience. We were warmly accompanied and guided through all activities. Thank you !

“great value for money!”
the staff was very accommodating and friendly, our group of 15 were lucky to get the entire guesthouse (hvammur red guesthouse) to ourselves! the facilities (kitchen, bathroom) were great, although the bedrooms were a little small but it was cozy enough!

“Exactly what we were looking for!”
The host has upgraded us for free, into the « Red House », she welcomed us warmly and gave us tourist guidance for the rest of our trip, accommodation was good, calm, and we felt at home in the house!

“The best place for horse lovers”
Nice place to stay, you can do hiking or horse riding, help with the horses or just observe what happens in the farm. Very helpful staff, great horses, beautiful nature, hot tube.
