Staying on a Horse Farm The location by the huge mountains and river as a back drop to the horses and sheep on the property is picture, nature, perfect! Views from kitchen, dining & bedroom. Evening shots, best lighting. Have horse trails and hikes. It is located in a ring road off the main route 1. The kitchen was very well equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, blender, stove and free supply stash! Bathroom- more than 2 shared upstairs & down. Bed comfortable and large room no 3. This is an excellent location on travels and a great cosy hostel environment. Fast strong internet.

“Fantastic rural location on a horse farm”

Fantastic rural location on a horse farm, beautiful views, clean rooms and great kitchen area. We were moved from the Red House to the white building. Hot tub outside. It was all perfect.

This was by far our favorite stay throughout the whole trip. Very cute guesthouse and cat with a heart shape nose. The view is also nice, make sure to get there before dark to enjoy. Great price for the value!

Went to meet the horses and the location is really good. Conversation with the host was good.

The views were astonishing, there were horses outside our window when we woke up. The kitchen is nice and big and the common area is great. The bathroom is also nice.

The staff was friendly upon arrival. She explained me where I find the bathrooms, showed me the kitchen and the hot tub. I liked the cat, it's a cute cat.

“The Red House tucked away in the mountains”

The staff were really friendly and very accommodating. The Guesthouse is situated in a fairly remote spot that has a nice hike (that we didn't do, but trust). It's also quite fun swapping trip stories with the other guests if you're into that. The communal space is big and there's pretty much room to do anything you want, short of acrobatics. The guesthouse is clean, views are lovely.

“We felt at home”

The house is just in the perfect spot to watch the Northen Lights, room was comfortable and the kitchen big enough to let us feel comfortable cooking with others guests. There's a super cute cat and an amazing view right out of the door.

it was an interesting experience in a weird way. we did not feel safe during our one-night stay at the house.

Upon check-in, I was 'informed' that I could not use the shared kitchen. LOL. There was no apology at all. I felt like an uninvited guest. The next day, all the food I bought for almost 50 euros was thrown away at the airport. well, Cheap thing is expensive.

The kitchen is huge and very well equiped. Same for the living room. The house is very clean and the German community working there are friendly.

Has both a outside hotpot and a big two person bath inside. Great for a family.

We had a family room with a mountain view. I loved the horses in the parks right next to the accommodation, the pictures and drawings of horses all over the walls... It's the perfect place for horse riding (although we found the price for the ride rather expensive, we were delighted to go as a private group). You have a real whirlpool bath with the accomodation (and not just a simple hot bath as sometimes referred to in Iceland as a hot tub). The establishment is spacious and clean. A little away from the main road (N1).
