Overview
Situated just off the Ring Road in northern Iceland, this guest house is 38 km from Saudárkrókur. It offers views of the Húnaflói Fjord, free Wi-Fi and an on-site restaurant with bar. A seating area and views of the surrounding nature are provided in each Guesthouse Kiljan room. Guests can choose either private or shared bathrooms. Fresh Icelandic fish and meat dishes are served in Kiljan’s restaurant, while the bar provides a lighter menu. A furnished terrace with BBQ facilities is also available on site. Hrútey Island is 15 minutes’ walk from the property and the Sundlaug Blönduóss public swimming pool is 1 km away. Other area activities include hiking along the neighbouring Blanda River and horseback riding.

“Comfortable stay”
Close to the water. An old refurbished house to accommodate travellers. We were thankful to have the use of the well stocked kitchen to prepare a light meal.

“Very good”
The Guesthouse was really nice, very good value for money. It's in a good position if you are traveling on the ring road, the room was big enough, the staff was very nice and gave us a good information to see the northern lights and we have seen it! Bar and kitchen is only for the staff use, you can't cook by yourself. Free coffe and tea!

Such a cute and cozy place! The apartment was lovely. It had everything we needed and more. The view just outside our door I was so idyllic! We had a small walk by the beach and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Absolutely wonderful!

“Sweet home in a time capsule”
There was a red-head girl with curly hair. She was so amazingly sweet and friendly and helpful. The house exceeded my expectations big time. So home-like, old-fashioned, retro, but sweet, clean, comfy and unique. So much attention was given to small details and aesthetics. Suitable for those who wish to experience a local Islandic home that has preserved its essence over the decades. Our room was so beautiful and bed so comfortable. Sheets were very soft. It was right next to ocean in a small town.

“You get what you pay for except breakfast.”
Good price on the accommodation. Apparently we were not considered for breakfast even if we asked beforehand and got confirmed for it, when we came down there was no breakfast but the girl went out of her way to get something for us. Cudos for her.

We were there in the off season so the restaurant was closed, but the host was very friendly and helpful. Clean larger room with the bathroom across the hall. Tea and biscuits available in the kitchen.
