Overlooking River Blanda in Blonduos village, these cottages are located right by Iceland’s Ring Road. All include private kitchen facilities, a sofa and a furnished terrace. Most cottages at at Gladheimar have a private bathroom and a terrace with a geothermal hot tub and BBQ facilities. Some cottages include a private sauna. Popular activities in the area include fishing and day trips around Northwest Iceland. Parking is free at Gladheimar Cottages. A public swimming pool is found 500 metres away. Blonduos Golf Club is 2.5 km from the cottages.

Location was lovely, close to Route 1 but could only hear the river. Cottage layout very good, warm, clean & comfortable, beds very good. A restful stay, walk to supermarket, Cafe etc

Great lounge. The cleaner Wiesia was very helpful and also brought us some seasoning, coffee and tea. Hot tube was lovely.

“Modern, spacious and well equipped cabin”
Very spacious, new cottage which was very well equipped with everything needed for our stay. Comfy bed, plenty of space and so easy to unload with the car parked right beside the cabin. Lovely, friendly staff.

We stayed a few days before on this camping on a brand new cabin, this time I made the same reservation and got an older one. High ceiling, small but cozy. A lot of kitchen appliances. Says shared shower but both times had a shower in the cabin, wich was great. Location is great if you are driving route 1 and need a stop for the night, gas station just in front and supermarket very close.
