Liesel and her husband are very nice and helpful. They welcomed us with open arms. Very clean room with a garden full of birds. Really good English breakfast. Recommended when you stop over in Bloemfontein.

I liked everything about this stay. The room had everything we wanted and the garden is superb for relaxation. We are in Bloemfontein but you can imagine being alone on a mountain (thoughtfully supplied with seating and braai places). The location is very convenient for Northridge Mall, with several great restaurants. The biggest bonus of all was the hosts - such a friendly and helpful couple! We discussed all the main topics of the day and of Bloemfontein attractions during our 2 night stay! We must go back for more!

“Beautifully located in a woodland-style garden, this property is a MUST for any weary traveller.”
Liesel was an EXCEPTIONAL hostess. All the "ins and outs" of staying there were sent to us timeously via WhatsApp. We were greeted on our arrival by Liesel (ably assisted by two beautiful cross "Shih Tzu/Yorkies" (we LOVE dogs so that was a wonderful bonus for us!) Our accommodation was absolutely perfect - and we SO appreciated the complimentary bottles of water, cool drinks and chocolate which we found in our refrigerator. The beautiful "forest-like" setting was an additional bonus and the only "noise" was the cheery chirping of the birds in the trees! We will DEFINITELY return.

“Friendly, amazing stay, beautiful venue”
The very friendly and welcoming Liesel and her husband was the perfect hosts. waiting for me to arrive and greeted me with the key on arrival and gave me a walk through the accommodation and discussed some options for dinner nearby. The room was perfect with everything I could need for the 2 nights of my stay. A quiet neighborhood, easy to find with shops and restaurants near by. Mountain Gem is surely on my list of top 3 stays I have had this year and I travel a lot. Look them up on your next stayover in Bloemfontein.

“A Real Gem”
The name says it all. It is most definitely a Gem and the prettiest place to stay. Pries(Johan) and Liesel are the most fantastic hosts. You arrive strangers and leave friends. The accommodation was exactly everything we needed with the added bonus of the most beautiful forested garden to enjoy. It was super clean, and very comfortable and Liesel spoilt us with strawberry cheesecake when we arrived that was to die for. We had our own little covered outdoor spot to sit and they even put out a table for us to eat at which was wonderful. We also got to enjoy seating at the top of the garden where we could watch the sunset over a cup of coffee. It was impossible to believe you were in a built up city. We would stay again in a heart beat and could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you guys so very much for a wonderful stay.
