“Perfect place to stay in Bloemfontein with a great location and wonderful hospitality.”
We did not know exactly what to expect, but were so impressed by the room, our friendly host Mariel, and the quiet farm location. The facilities are welcoming and of a high standard, and the breakfast in the morning was worth getting up for. Our Yorkie really enjoyed the well-maintained lawns surrounding the hotel and the pet-friendly policy was a real plus for us traveling with him.

We needed to braai and the lovely Mariël prepared the braai area for us before arrival and made salads. Very thoughtful and the room was exceptional 👌 the entire house actually was beautiful. Will definitely be going back soon

“Great hospitality - comfortable and relaxing surroundings”
The meals were outstanding and everyone went out of their way to help us. The Hotel is situated perfectly between Brandfort and Bloemfontein. It is far better staying in a boutique hotel in the countryside than in any major city.

Mariël was the perfect hostess! We stayed there passing through on our travels to Johannesburg and back to PE with our Yorkie. Both times were excellent. We had supper both times as well and it was seriously good. I can highly recommend Middelwater Farm.

“Home from home”
Mariel, Mariel!! We have been returning to Middelwater for the last seven years and Mariels warm sunny reception and her amazing home cooked meals are the reason for our return. The packed breakfast for early departure is always very special and done with so much care. Thank you for many years of exceptional hospitality!!!!
