“A treat at Misty River!”

We had such a lovely but short stay at Misty River. The place is set within a short driving distance of Blenheim, next to stunning nature and views. It felt totally private, with parking just outside. We felt so warmly welcomed, and we found delicious homemade bread and other delights, including eggs for our breakfast to be (Yum!). The place comprises two larger bedrooms that also facilitate as a living room and dining area. These rooms are connected with a compact, but so smartly designed kitchen that contained all that we needed for our stay. Actually, we were in awe of the practicality and clever use of the kitchen space. We loved the chance to feed the alpacas - and we did so both upon arrival and before leaving! It was so fun! We did not dare doing the suggested round walk - as we were unsure about walking amongst the feeding animals. However, it did not matter, as we had already had a busy day! The place was very clean and we had a very comfortable stay, both relaxing in the evening and whilst sleeping! The place as a whole had a great vibe to it! The nearby Blenheim and Marlborough Wine Region were great, and we loved our lunch at a chosen winery and wider wine tasting.

Fantastic stay! The cottage is so nice, the alpaca’s very friendly and we loved Billy the sheep. Fresh baked bread, eggs and jam were great. Stayed for two nights, next time definitely more.

Fantastic location! This unique and mystique farm stay offers an unforgettable experience. We walked into an eco friendly home and were greeted very warmly by the owners themselves. We were offered freshly baked bread, fresh laid eggs along with delicious homemade jam…yum! Meeting the curious Alpaca mob and Bobo was another highlight. Calm and beautiful, this charming retreat ticks all boxes. Loved it!!

Cottage was nestled amongst the trees creating a serene, calming place to stay. Beautiful fresh bread and eggs were great. Jo was inviting and also gave us a good place to see the local seals.

Stunning retreat - surrounded by native planting and birdsong and only a few minutes drive from Blenheim. Clever use of space - one bedroom / lounge and one bedroom / dining space linked by corridor With kitchenette and bathroom. Lovely touch of fresh bread, butter and home made jam.

I loved the location of the facility, very beautiful clean, comfortable accomodation, the host was extremely kind to give us home baked bread, jam, we will definitely be coming back soon, our boys loved every moment of our stay there.

We only stayed overnight in transit, but this is a lovely place that needed a few days to really appreciate. It was spacious and spotlessly clean and very private and secluded, given it was quite close to the main home. The hosts provided fresh eggs and homemade bread for breakfast. We only wish we'd had the time to feed the alpacas and enjoy the solitude.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Misty Ridge Retreat. Beautiful & tranquil location. The place is spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated. The splash back in the kitchen is stunning. Really appreciated the home made muesli, jam, bread & farm fresh eggs. Fun time feeding the alpacas. Highly Recommended.

The place is perfect for unwinding and rest. Nature sounds. Feeding the animals was so nice.

Everything about Misty River is amazing. It is a must stay in Blenheim. Do not stay anywhere else. The property is tranquil and peaceful. Walking track around the river is magical. The retreat is beautiful inside aswell. All facilities available that you need. The retreat is a 100 out of 10, everything is clean and perfect. The hosts are amazing and friendly.

Beautiful little retreat with all the extra touches. Our children loved feeding the alpacas and seeing all of the farm animals.
