We had a wonderful stay at the Manoir de Jouralem with our hosts Mel and Hywel. The building and setting are stunning as are the rooms. Breakfast was outstanding.

Mel and Hywel Lewis, english people owner of the jouralem manor, welcome you in their B&B in the countryside of Loire valley close to Angers. Typical guesthouse of the 16th century, with gosts, ...you are welcome with a glass of Cremant of Loire, free access to the outdoor swimming pool in a beautiful english garden, a fridge full of free drinks (water, beer, wine) is waiting for you. A very nice place to recovery after on long road or to make a road stage on your trip.

An outstanding off the beaten track peaceful medieval Manoir, fantastic hosts who greeted us with a glass of sparkling in the peaceful garden, and a gorgeous blend of old and new (fabulous contemporary bathroom). We had a wonderful dinner in the garden prepared by the host.

Mel and Hywel are superb hosts. We had a fantastic dinner on our first night and platter on our second night. Breakfast was perfect. All in all a great stay.

This place is excellent in every way. The house and rooms are beautiful and the hosts Mel and Hal are welcoming and lovely. Hal cooked us a superb three course evening meal which was delicious and great value and included wonderful local wine. All their produce comes from no more than six miles away, just brilliant.

The hosts are incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. If we had any questions, they offered their help. We stayed in the highest (and warmest) room, so they had already installed fans to keep the temperature agreable. 10/10 would recommend.

The place is grand and so tastefully decorated! We stayed for the third time and will come back for sure. The owners are great, food is excellent, the grounds are welcoming, hospitality at its best.
