A period guest house retaining many characteristics from the late 1600’s, while being modernised for comfort. A truly dedicated and passionate owner we felt so very welcome with our personal tour of the house and garden. The breakfast is incredible, with a beautiful setting, and we woke up to the aroma of baking, another passion of the owner. Stay here for an exceptional and truly authentic experience. We had a wonderful stay, a family of 3 with our 12-year-old son, at Magda's place. Our host so so much cheerful and joyful and always smiling and ready to help and guide on any queries. She was very attentive to every detail and asked us what we like for the breakfasts & prepared all that we wanted and more (Because of our lack of knowledge of the cooking we wasted some of the food during our 1st-day breakfast unfortunately but we discussed about it and the next day it was changed) It was such a nice place and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Our son wants to go back there and stay for a week at least. Some of the details about the property which was built in 1680! - Bed and sheets, pillows and duvets were really cozy and the nights were really quiet - Huge backyard in the back with a lot of parking space - Nice garden with lot many varieties of flowers and plants - A fitness room (was being painted while we were there) - And a really cute and wonderful labrador called Pixel, whose company our son enjoyed a lot! - Owner of the place is one of the most hospitable we have come across, we even had a stroll on one evening and Magda showed us around including a villa constructed in the 16th Century! - Lastly, the place is near to some of the best places in Normandy This place is nothing short of magical and even if you don't have anything else to do around the place, it is worthwhile to just stay at this place and roam around the back garden and relax. Extremely characterful property. Magda was an excellent host, helpful, sociable, went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.Delicious breakfast. Lovely garden. Shared kitchen for guests was in a building in the garden with fridge, small oven, 1 ring hob and sink. Very useful for preparing simple meals. Gym is also in separate building with range of equipment. Our room was large, bathroom was very clean. There are restaurants within walking distance but some only open on a weekend: La Cale has great atmosphere, Le Grand Hebet had good food and view. L'athome was fantastic but limited food and friendly atmosphere. More restaurants in Agon-Coutenville. Lots of Chateaux, Abbeys, Coastline and Beaches withing a short drive. Would also make a great stopover place. Magda also has a very friendly black labrador who is only out accompanied in the garden, but he does like to pinch things!

Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Interesting house. Lots of opportunity to practise our French.

The breakfast was excellent all pastries and bread freshly cooked. The location was within easy reach of Granville, St Malo and the Normandy Beaches. Our hostess went out of her way to make our stay very enjoyable.
