Although the motel was nice enough, and the owners seemed nice, it is located right next to the main motorway. The trucks rumble through all night long, with many of them 'engine air braking' as they slow for Blackheath. This makes for a very noisy night. I was awoken dozens of times by the loud trucks (and the less frequent trains)

“Comfortable budget accommodation”
Beds were comfortable and it was wonderful having electric blankets due to the freezing weather outside. Also really appreciated the instant hot water in the shower.

Great location walking distance to a very lively local pub where the meals were great. Friendly check in, room has little extras like toaster and microwave if you want it. Old school charm, lots of timber. Presented nicely. Would stay again.

Curtains were hanging off the rods making it look a bit derelict. Electic blanket only working on one side. The gravel parking area.
