Overview
USSR Hostel is located in Bishkek city centre, within a 10 minute walk from the TSUM Shopping Centre. It features original décor in Soviet style, and free Wi-Fi is provided. The hostel offers both private and dormitory rooms. Guests can use a shared bathroom. Various cafes, bars and restaurants can be found within a 5-minute walk from the property. Also it is possible to order breakfast and to cook in a fully equipped shared kitchen. The Ala-Too Square is 1.3 km from USSR Hostel, and the Presidential Palace is 10 minutes’ walk away. Tusyacha Melochei bus stop is just in front the property, and Bishkek Central Station is 20 minutes’ drive from the hostel. The distance to Manas International Airport is 23 km.

“Warm home experience”
I stayed for two nights in this place that made me feel at home. It's not an ordinary guesthouse. Although I travelled solo, i really didn't feel myself like a stranger thanks to friendly and warmful house owners and staff. It was a very comfortable stay, clean and tidy. Thanks to its location close to the centre, exploring the city was very easy. I wish the best for house owners, Nina and Hatice.

The hostel had a very cute vibe and it's located at walking distance from the center. The bus 7 will take you straight there from the Western Bus Station. The hosts were so kind to pick me up at the airport in the early morning and let me stay longer on the day of check-out. Their flexibility with the timetable of backpackers, at times messy, was highly appreciated!

The hostel is actually a flat arranged by rooms. Overall nice experience although the beds were quite old and mattress were sunk

“A wonderful expérience”
A real soviet experience ! As soon as you arrive in this old, big and grey building , you feel in soviet times. Use the stairs to reach the 4th floor... You reach the flat, which has not changed much since 1950, I guess. I had a lovely little "Lenin room" with a big window, looking on a nice parc and huge Imarat Building. Nina, the nice and helpful housekeeper is always able to help. A real good and original address.

We initially booked three nights here but enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up extending it. Cozy apartment, comfortable and clean rooms, and the lady who comes in during the day is really lovely and helpful :)
