It is a great place with a very friendly owner :) They had some construction going so the kitchen did not work so they took money for only one night instead of two, which was very nice of them. The internet is perfect, I managed to finish work without any problems so I recommend to digital nomads

I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're looking for peace and quiet. There are a few long-time residents who feel superior to everyone else. The hostel owner keeps telling guests to be grateful for having them. I also want to point out that you shouldn't pay attention to the good reviews, as she mostly solicits them from guests, and most of the reviews are from people who haven't had time to understand what kind of hostess she really is. She might smile at you, offer you coffee, tea, and so on, but believe me, it's not sincere, and deep down, she just hates you.

This place is truly a hidden gem! The Grandma who owns the house is so kind and warm-hearted. I stayed here for 3 days in a private single room — it was quiet, comfortable, and I felt really at ease. The price is also very reasonable! I highly recommend staying at Mukarama-Apa!

The person who runs the hostel is lovely and friendly and so helpful. I ended up having to break up my stay after originally planning to stay 5 days in a row and she was lovely and only had me pay for the 2 nights I did stay which was lovely.

The lady who owns the hotel was very friendly, intelligent and gave me the maximum welcome; I enjoyed talking with her about many things using Google Translate. The coffee with her homemade milk and jam was very memorable. Her son spoke English and was very helpful. It is convenient to walk to most places. I'll come back to stay again!
