We originally attempted to book at the Macina where we have stayed before, however, we found Palazzo Bettina more intimate, with a beautiful pool deck and we will definitely book this hotel again. The staff went out of their way, particularly the GM, Roman, who was absolutely outstanding. We were truly spoilt.

“A great choice for those with more refined tastes.”
A lovely hotel. We don't like children running around and this hotel was child-free during our stay. We had a lovely restful break. The quiet roof terrace was available for relaxing, and it was easy to take the water taxi into Valetta. The town behind the hotel is lovely, very quaint, and completely free of the cruise ship locusts that swarm around major towns following the lady with the umbrella. Goodness knows why anyone would want to go on a cruise.

Hotel was is a perfect location and had great facilities even though it only had 13 rooms. All the staff were amazing really friendly and helpful.

Everything. Location close to everything, gondolas, ferry, bus tours, town square, restaurants and a short drive from the airport. Amazingly helpful staff, (particularly Dora). Ambience and history, beautiful quiet rooms. Historic, beautiful view from the pool area where you could enjoy watching the sunset.

“It would be hard to find a better location and it’s a beautiful hotel”
Perfect location near gondolas and restaurants. It had comfortable beds, very good shower, friendly and helpful staff. The room terrace was a great space to spend the last couple of hours of the day in the sunshine.

“Stunning small private hotel in beautiful historic waterfront location”
Beautiful location ,superb staff especially Dora! Also Angelique and Roma. Old world charm with modern facilities. Perfect combination of old world and new. Gondolas right out side to Valletta , also ferry. The gondolas are wonderful. Your wish is Dora’s command! She will do everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay!

“One of our favourite hotels.”
We had the most amazing stay here. This is our second stay at the hotel and we love it there. The hotel is so clean and the staff are so friendly. Upon check in we were greeted with prosecco and the check in process was smooth, they even managed to get our room ready early which was amazing after travelling all night. The rooms are clean and have so much character, beautiful. All of the staff are so friendly and the breakfast is lovely, my husband couldn’t wait to order the Shakshuka again. We can’t wait to come back again.
