“A wonderful stay”
We are on a bicycle tour of Belgium. From the moment we arrived the Host Marie offered us drinks, and made us feel completely at home. She was so kind. She helped us find a fantastic restaurant (trattoria) that evening, and the next morning we were surprised by an entirely home made, home baked breakfast that was simply wonderful.

“Worth a detour!”
Very friendly reception; clean room; excellent sleep quality; walking distance to downtown Binche; on a major Euro Vélo route; Marie was extremely helpful- she even offered us free home made bread for our biking trip. Thanks a lot Marie!

“A hidden gem”
Where do we start...what an amazing host Mari was together with Nina! We were a bit apprehensive but after meeting and greeting we were amazed with the place. Although we were B & B we had asked beforehand if we could have an evening meal to save the hassle of finding somewhere to eat. OMG....the surroundings under the canopy in the garden were amazing and so quiet and peaceful. The meal we were served was even better and just out of this world. All home made and cooked. The best we have ever had. Mari you were an amazing host and we thank you for your hospitality we were blown away and wish you every success for the future.

“1 night stay at La Maison de Marie”
Marie was very accommodating and friendly. There is a safe place at the property to park your car or motorbike. The room was very clean. Good facilities. We were hoping that nobody else was staying as it's a shared bathroom. There was an other couple there, but bathroom times did not seem to be a problem. For the evening meal, you can walk about 10mins to get into the Binche High Street. Marie had suggested La Trattoria. Amazing Italian restaurant (separate review). The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good with Marie doing 'faits maison' mini breads, pancakes and jam. They were lovely! There was a very small issue with not being able to pay by card for the breakfasts, and due to different banking systems in England, we had to get some cash first, but this was all settled without any problem. Lovely house, lovely food, great host. If we were ever in the neighbourhood again, would definitely consider staying there again (but would take a few euros, just in case 🙂).

“Very comfortable stay with a welcoming host”
Marie is such a friendly host who provided a very comfortable room and gave us a very sincere welcome. It is a very convenient location near the bike path and secure bike storage was provided. We requested an evening meal in advance which was a truly superb homecooked dinner, surpassing our expectations. We had a very good breakfast too. Everything was perfect. Thank you Marie.

“Superb”
The hostess offers a beautiful modern house with comforable rooms and first rate facilities on the edge of town. Marie was very helpful and patient with me stretching my schoolboy French to its limits! Room was large, bright & airy. Breakfast was substantial and set me up nicely for my onward journey.
