“Practical location and top food!”

Very nice location and friendly owner. The dinner was the best meal we had during our Oman trip! Its very practical for tours to Snake Canyon (they can organise this) and a visit to Bilad Sait. In the evening its nice to sit outside on their terrace.

“family stay before Snake Canyon”

If you plan to go to Snake Canyon, it is a perfect stay. Fantastic nature and quiet place with great owners. We had breakfast and dinner and food was delicious! Mobile signal is a little bad, but it is possible to surf the net, whatsoever. Rooms are basic, but clean and provide everything you need for a quality stay. Be prepared to arrive with a very good vehicle, 4WD (4x4) is strongly recommended! The road is very steep at times and rough. I strongly recommend you arrive from Al Hamra/Nizwa (from the West) - in that case most of the dirt road is downwards. From here, if you continue towards Muscat (to the East) it is again more or less down. We drove a regular SUV and in some parts it was quite challenging to go over a steep climb 😅

“Lovely lodge with trails and activities”

Wonderful family running a remote mountain lodge with good food and comfortable rooms. They also do Snake canyon tours, we didn’t know and this is why we booked somewhere else. Nice trails around, directly on hiking route towards at least 2 villages.

The location is stunning, right out in the mountains. We couldn’t go canyoning (too cold for me in December but lots of other guests had an amazing experience in stunning Snake Gorge!), so we walked from the accommodation to the neighbouring village which took us over the mountain. Amazing walk with an easy to follow trail. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The room was perfectly clean with a very comfortable bed. Lovely buildings that were designed aesthetically to fit with the landscape. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful and make our stay memorable, couldn’t ask for more. A wonderful stay.

“Outdoor life in the mountain without suffering 😁”

A fine outdoor style travel lodge deep in the mountains. Reachable via nice route for a 4x4. Very friendly reception by a Nepalese guide who organises trips in the mountain. Ideal for climbers, walkers, drivers. Good dinner and breakfast in the open air is what we want! Quiet room with a private porch in Bedouin style. Enjoy

Absolutelly amazing host - helpful and adviced us how to hike and where to go, The food also very very tasty!!!!!!

We had an amazing two night stay as a family. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The kids loved their time there and enjoyed the play area. We especially appreciated access to hot water for hot drinks and places to sit and hang out outside. The location was beautiful and the attention to detail in the design of the place was really special and well thought out. We would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful location, absolutely perfect, welcoming and friendly staff who will do their best to answer all your questions and make your stay memorable. Decent breakfasts and delicious suppers. Very clean rooms, comfy beds, warm water. All you need to make your stay enjoyable. The ambience of the lodge surrounded by massive mountains is overwhelming. Fully recommended if you search for a place to calm down and enjoy the views.

We loved this lodge. Two night stay and host was so welcoming :) Rooms were super clean and comfortable and food was really delicious. Right next to snake canyon so perfect for that too. A really lovely place to stay:)

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!!! We even decided to extend our stay for another night. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious!!! The canyoning was also fantastic!! Deep is a great guide with lots of patience 🫶🏻. We also all did another tour through the Little Snake canyon, and there was a beautiful hike starting right from the house. The owner can truly consider himself lucky to have such amazing employees!
