BYPILLOW Irala is a hotel-boutique located in the quarter of the picturesque Iralabarri neighborhood. The hotel is centrally located only 20 minutes walk from the Guggenheim Museum, and a few minutes walk from the International Exhibition Center. BYPILLOW Irala has carried out an Integral reform of the old establishment (Hotel Vista Alegre) and has room types for all types of clients, all of them equipped with flat screen TV, electric kettle, air conditioning and heating, bathroom, shower and hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi and the entire hotel.

The bathroom has a permanent awful smell. We slept every night with the windows open. I hope that is a minor plumbing problem & the staff will fix it because it was the only (-)

Pre Check In Communication was Excellent, If You get there very early, they have free lockers, of various sizes, available. My Room was spotless, very comfortable bed, brilliant air con, and excellent wi-fi. Tea coffee, bottled water, and some sweet treats. Special mention, to Gregory, on reception, who, is at least bi Lingual, Spanish and English, and was brilliant, making sure check in was super efficient. He made sure any requests were dealt with expeditiously.

Surprisingly, the receptionist (Gregory) insisted on a “security” deposit 50 €, strange; not so surprisingly he forgot to send it back “automaticaly and immediately” after my check-out, as he had promised. Luckily, I had time to come and claim it back in person. Not sure whether every guest was / will be so lucky… On top of that, no heating in the rooms (locked) - with a silly explanation that it was 30 ‘C a few weeks back, so the heating had been off since then… The actual temperature outdoors was 14 ‘C, indoors perhaps even less. After all, a very bad experience, sorry to say. And it was / is not a cheap place...

“AWFUL HOTEL-worst experince in 60 years experience of hotels . Bilbao City and Area was Wonderful”
City and area was wonderful , Beautifully well managed city and well presented THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN A HOTEL. Booking was for 7 days and made complaint on issues but completely ignored We were treated really badly . City was wondeful . Saved the holiday

The staff was extremely not polite didn't speak any other language. Knocking on my door at 10 am for 2 consecutive mornings while I had do not disturb sign on. Also no lifts in the building
