“Stay there - have dinner elsewhere”

The "tasty" things: 1) The location: Very close to the railway station and walking distance from the center of town. 2) The environment: The home of the Former Army Colonel is converted into a home stay in a nice way with a good taste and the effort is apparent both in outside and inside parts of the property which is constructed as per Rajasthani architecture. 3) Our room was of good size and comfortable, the bathroomwas really big and clean, again tastefully done up. 4) Breakfast and dinner were served in a dinning hall that was nicely decorated by the owner couple. 5) The owner, Colonel Singh was hospitable and greeted us with a smile when we arrived. If there weren't the negative comments I made below, I would have rated it a 10/10.

“Perfect heritage stay in Bikaner”

The vila gives an outstanding vibe of traditional rajasthani culture. The rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Washroom was the best I've ever been into. There are touch of tradition and arts even in washroom also.

The owner was so welcoming and very helpful in allowing us to stay until late on our departure day for our night bus - at no extra charge. The Villa was an oasis from the heat and bustle of Bikaner.

The Haveli is beautiful from the old building to every detail. It makes you feel you are living one century ago.An amazing step in the past with every modern comfort. The owners, a beautiful and kind couple, will make you feel at home. The Rajasthan gastronomy can be explored at dinner and at breakfast that includes also western choices.

We had a wonderful stay and the hospitality was warm. Would definitely recommend to everyone who visits Bikaner to stay here. To Colonel and his beloved wife thank you for making our stay a memorable one. The breakfast was sumptuous.

An amazing place to stay in Bikaner. I initially booked it because it’s right next to the train station, but it turned out to be one of the best places I’ve stayed at in India. I honestly didn’t want to leave. Everything was impeccable—spotlessly clean, cozy, and wonderfully quiet. The décor is beautifully done, and the owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

“A super place to stay!”

It’s a very quiet and clean place in a city with lots of noise and a city that’s not always clean… it’s very well organized and we loved the courtyard where you can relax after a day sightseeing. Everything you need is there, everything works and is clean. You also can have diner there, together with the other guests at one long table, that makes nice interactions. The whole hotel is very nicely decorated, it’s not my style, but it gives a nice atmosphere. Definitely a place to revisit!

“An exquisite former haveli transformed into a hotel if rest and first class service are demanded”

It was most pleasant to stay in this private hotel run most efficiently by a couple who transformed their family or ancestors' former private haveli into an exquisite restful and well decorated with mixed old family British colonial pieces of furniture both in the living room and the rooms.

A unique experience - like staying with family. The hosts genuinely care for their guests and treat them like extended family. We had breakfast and dinner, both of which were fantastic healthy home cooked style. Meals are served on a large communal dining table shared with other guest. The property is beautifully decorated and maintained.

Cavalry Villa I stayed at for one night was beautifully decorated and is actually the residence of an ex-army colonel, which adds a unique charm to the property. It’s a lovely villa that feels like a peaceful retreat despite being surrounded by the chaos and crowds outside—perfect for relaxation. Every detail in the rooms was thoughtfully designed and well-presented, and everything was sparkling clean. There’s also a very beautiful courtyard in the middle of the property that enhances the overall ambiance. The service was good and attentive. The location is convenient, as it’s right next to the train station and within walking distance of the market. However, it can be a bit noisy at times due to train horns. That said, the overall experience was very enjoyable, and the property itself is absolutely worth staying at.
