“Excepcional”

This hotel is outstanding: a great location, comfortable beds, excellent staff, and spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfast is superb, and everything you need for enjoying Medjugorje is provided, making it a truly uplifting and memorable experience.

The rooms were very spacious, especially the living room, and all rooms had ample air conditioning. Both bathrooms with showers were very good. The breakfast was delicious and offered a nice variety.

“centrally located, great breakfast, staff and facilities”

Property is great with a lift to every floor, very centrally located close to bus station and also st James church, food and stores. I absolutely loved the communal area (outdoor and indoor) where you can make a tea, they have a fridge and microwave. There’s also plenty of books and resources around. Breakfast was by far the best I’ve had, made to order with lots of options to cater to all. Staff friendly and helpful and any issues sorted promptly.

Myself and my family , including my 4 aunts arrived at the hotel on Sunday 26th of April, having booked a 5 night stay. We arrived after midnight after a late flight from Ireland. On arrival, the reception desk was unattended and the lobby was in darkness. I rang the phone number that was linked to the booking. Eventually a man arrived ( the hotel owner) he spoke to us in a gruff manner and said that we could not stay at the hotel, we weren't welcome as we were part of the traveling community! We explained that we had booked the hotel giving our names and details and were certainly not travellers. He ignored our pleas and literally turned the 5 of us out into the street in the early hours of the morning with nowhere to go! A kind couple saw our distress and invited us to stay at their hotel, which we did and had a lovely time. Furthermore, on the day of our departure , our precooked taxi driver, told us that when he went to pick us up at the hotel, the owner told him that we hadn't stayed there and that we were bad people. Two of my aunts are pensioners and were very hurt and distressed at our treatment. My other aunt, recently widowed had a very bleak first impression of Medjugorje. If it hadn't been for the kindness of strangers, we would have had a very different experience.

Lovely rooms, wanted to change the room at arrival, they were very accommodating. Breakfast is wonderful, plenty of food (eggs, hot sandwiches, sausages, hot dogs, cheeses,...) - truly a large breakfast. The owner helped with anything we wanted, truly a beautiful and amazing holiday. 5 star all around 😇

“A short pilgrimage”

Excellent location and warm welcome from Josip, we got our rooms quite early in the morning. A very good breakfast and the option of hot drinks in the evening were appreciated. To be repeated!

Very close to St Jame’s church and the bus station. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast were so good and their service was so efficient.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Barbaric. The location is a short walk from St James' Church, and Josef and his team were very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent - the omelettes and pancakes were especially good. The room was very warm and the facilities more than adequate. Overall, I felt it was very good value for money.

The location was excellent. Josef was very helpful. The hotel was warm, and the bed was comfortable. 24-hour tea/coffee facilities available with biscuits and Irish teabags. A good breakfast. Very happy and I will return.

The staff and family behind Barbaric couldn't be more helpful. They were always available with advice and help if needed. Nothing was a problem with requests.
