“Good location for wildlife, room and food just OK.”

Good location inbetween 2 volcanoes, convenient for hikes. Very friendly staff. Lots of wildlife in grounds. Common terrace conducive to meeting other travellers and viewing wildlife.

The perfect spot to have a beautiul nature and great people around you. We saw monkeys and a tapir and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with homemade bread. The owner and the staff were always helpful and caring thank you so much

To keep you slim, the dining room is wooden like In closed that has deck/balcony that make it easy too see wildlife. Toucans, sloths near by.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The grounds are beautiful and the cottages are gorgeous. We saw a tapir and her baby whilst we ate our dinner as they visit the garden most nights.

Amazing animal sightings, lots of birds and monkeys. Nice trails to walk.

Bird life

“An amazing paradies for animals and nature loving guests”

Christine managed to create a peaceful, natural place for guests and (!) the animals that live in the area. She planted special trees for sloths, monkeys and birds. And they all came. We even saw a tapier mum with her baby coming to the restaurant area at night. We were able watch them quietly from the terrace. It was such an amzing moment. Thank you for everything, Christine!!!

“A paradise for nature lovers”

An amazing place with stunning views and abundant wildlife. Lots of birds and we were lucky enough to see a whole troop of white-faced monkeys. Also awoke to the sound of Howler monkeys. Breakfast was very nice too.

The bungalows were very nice, silent and with a nice view into the nature. The host (Christine) was very nice and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty. The surrounding with the Tuccas and all the other birds was extraordinary. The nearby Blue River Distillery also is worth a visit, after coming back from the nearby National Park.

Nice lodge surrounded by a beautiful well maintained garden. In front of the restaurant is a viewing platform from where you can observe the birds visiting the feeding station. We also really enjoyed dinner, well prepared food served by friendy staff.

Fabulous. The accommodations, surroundings and food was everything we hoped and more. The owner was super nice and made us feel so welcomed and at home. Seeing the wide variety of birds and wildlife on the property was a bonus. We cannot wait to return.

Lovely tropical garden setting off the main road, large private individual cabins surrounded by lush vegetation. The 2 shared hot tubs are lovely to soak in as you watch the colours of the setting sun on the 2 volcano peaks across the valley. Great bird viewing from the dining room. Hearty breakfasts with tropical fruits, omelettes and home made jams. Everything super clean and tidy. Perfect air temperatures - hot/warm during the day and pleasantly cool in the evenings. Christine, the French owner/ hostess shared great tips about the area's highlights. It was tranquil base "home" for our 5-day visit to the area (i.e., close to Tenorio National Park /Rio Celeste, various hot springs, Heliconia nature trail and hanging bridges, RCR River rafting, and lovely drives through surrounding cowboy country).

We like everything... we started with 2 nights and ended up staying 8 nights! The garden, the lodges, the food, the staff and Christine are wonderful, thank you for this stay... we will definitely recommend it!
