The property was close to a bus stop and easy to find. Our hosts were so lovely, welcoming and friendly. We were made to feel at home right away! This is more like a homestay than a hostel, we really enjoyed our time here. The shower was HOT! My first one in many weeks and it was wonderful. A decent breakfast was provided as was a towel free of charge :) We visited Rio Celeste in Tenorio NP and local tour Sloths n Frogs close to town which we highly recommend. The ATM in town is free to use! And the supermarkets are well stocked.

Lovely Homestay feel to this hostel! The breakfast in the morning was huge and so yummy! The family were great: helping us with our buses and recommending the best ethical place to see sloths (sloths and frogs on Google maps is amazing). Their shower had hot water which was an absolute luxury. The kitchen was well equipped and super clean too. Cannot recommend enough!

Excellent and unexpected (not stated on Booking.com) complimentary breakfast with a delicious selection of fresh fruit. Very nice and helpful hosts, take care of every request and give excellent recommendations.

“Sweet host and perfect for a short stay”

The place was amazing for one night and very close to the Rio Celeste which was beautiful. The host was very nice and we felt so welcome! The host actually helped us spot a Toucan! Would definitly recommend this place!

Lovely place and very welcoming hosts. Breakfast is huge. Good recommendations about what to do in the neighbourhood (do the night tour with frogs paradise, it was amazing!!). Really close to Tenorio national park (they can organize a taxi for you).

“Amazing experience in Bijagua”

I had such a fantastic experience here, the owners Dinora and Wilfred went above and beyond to welcome and help me during my stay. The place was absolutely spotless with beautiful gardens and the breakfast there is amazing as well. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the region, there’s plenty to do in the area including rio Celeste, tapir valley and other private reserves.

“A great place as a base for activities and to relax and meet people”

As a single traveller I loved staying here . The family create a lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and friendly. Great place to meet other travellers and a nice verandah to sit and chat as well as have a delicious breakfast . The family are really helpful in providing information on local activities and buses . My room was very comfortable and secure .

The hosts are a super duper nice family, so warm and welcoming, very helpful, and she made an amazing breakfast.

One of the most friendly hostel stuff we've ever met. They helped us organizing our trips and gave some more advices what to do around Bijagua. Furthemore, they prepared us a very large and delicious breakfast every morning. There was lots of space in the dorm room to store our luggage. The kitchen was well-equipped.

Super sweet couple that invites you in the guest area of their own house. It is a tranquil place with 2 people taking super good care, making you comfortable and helping you with anything you like to ask but with a relaxt, leaving you to do your thing vibe. The breakfast that is included is the best! Was sad to leave, it is such a nice rural region of Costa Rica, with Rio Celeste entrance within 20 mins drive. Recommended! Night tour was nice and interesting as well!

Beautiful property surrounded by lovely gardens. Substantial and tasty breakfast served on verandah watching the squirrels and birds in the trees. Clean, comfortable dorm. Nice bathroom. Friendly, helpful hosts.

The hostel is in a very quiet place and the hosts were very friendly. They even prepared breakfast for me. Everything was clean and I had the dorm for myself since I was the only guest on this day. There's also a huge garden.

“Perfect for a base to see Rio Celeste waterfalls without a tour”

Lovely family home, who were friendly and helpful. I was picked up from the bus station on motorbike when I got lost trying to find the house. They had recommendations on places to visit/eat and helped me organise a tour. Spacious bedrooms and decent fans.

Very nice hostel. Only one room for men, one room for women and one private room (we had the private room). Hosts were very eager to help. The place was quiet and comfortable.
