The location is nice, and the room had a beautiful view.

“Great way to start off our vacation and a prefect place to stop on the way to Arenal.”

Flight delays and rental car problems put us on the road to the Lodge later than planned. But we called ahead and they were very accommodating, promising to wait for our arrival. Pretty sure we were the only guests and stayed in a very nice bungalow with king bed and full bath. Everything was clean and fresh. Since we arrived after dark, we didn't really appreciate the surroundings until the next morning. Waking up to chirping birds, beautiful flowers and gorgeous views, we knew we were off to a great start for our Costa Rican adventure. Breakfast was simple but very good. We had to choose from three different selections the night before. Fresh fruit and a plate of rice and beans and eggs was a great way to start the day. The lodge is located at the trail head leading into a rain forest and offers free access to hanging bridges which we did not take advantage of since we had a confirmed entry time at Tenorio Park 30 minutes away. The bungalow was very nice. It seemed recently renovated, the view from there - if weather allowed - was great. Staff was nice! During breakfast one could see quite a few birds including tucanes. The wald at the hotel ground with the hanging bridges in the woods was very nice, as was the guided tour to the laguna, even though it was very muddy and wet. It was a nice stay!

Absolutely loved our stay!! The staff were excellent! The grounds were impeccable. The hanging bridges and hike were one of the highlights of our trip!! The food was also delicious! We will definitely be back!

Located right next to a forest with 3 hanging bridges that were deserted early in the morning. Breakfast was very good, and staff friendly and helpful. Especially JJ.

“Very Nice Place close to Rio Celeste”

This place was fantastic. I booked here for 3 nights as it had onsite trails, an onsite restaurant, and was reasonably close to Rio Celeste for a planned hike. It rained a lot while I was here, so I didn't end up going to Rio Celeste. I went for brief hikes on the 2 trails on the property which were very scenic and I really enjoyed hiking in areas with no tourists or traffic noise. The included breakfast was better than usual - included avocado, jam and butter for the toast, and both coffee and juice. Dinner meals were reasonably priced as were drinks - I averaged around $20/night for dinner and 2 glasses of wine. Staff was incredibly nice and friendly. It was offered to have my room cleaned daily which I declined due to short stay. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a reasonably priced hotel with trails and an onsite restaurant close to Rio Celeste. The view from the room balcony was incredible altho it was partly cloudy and rainy while I was there. The hotel arranged private accommodation to my next area at a reasonable price. The room was actually better than expected per the listing. Wifi was available in the room, and my room had a coffee pot, minifridge, and coffee mugs and wine glasses.

Friendly and helpful staff with clean, luxurious rooms that (obviously) come at a price. The accessibility of good forest trails (especially the one with hanging bridges) is a huge added bonus as they are each at less than 5 minutes walk from your accommodation. The (included) breakfast was very good indeed.

The accommodation's were good. It’s a little off the beaten path and rustic which was fine with us. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hiking trails and bridges were great and we saw an anteater on our hike. I would stay there again. Thank you!

“A beautiful small resort with good value”

Though a bit drive off the main road, this property sits on the hill with a beautiful view. It also has quite a few trails to walk around. When sitting in the restaurants for breakfast, we saw many pretty birds come and go through the glass window, which is super nice. We stayed on Villa#1, it is all good, The bath room is spacious with the biggest shower that we ever seen. The bath room has floor-to-ceiling windows to see plants outside on the slope, still very private, unfortunately no much view, Note that there is no tub. Also note Google map pointing to its neighbor.
