Location perfect for exploring Tenorio. Attractive modern design unlike other hotels we stayed in in Costa Rica. Fabulous views of the garden and down the mountain. Attractive and thoughtful common areas for bird spotting and couches for reading. Best food we had in a hotel in Costa Rica.

“Excellent place to stay with beautiful gardens close to Rio Celeste waterfall.”

Location excellent less than 10 minutes from the Rio Celeste waterfall, and two minutes drive to the Tapir Valley reserve. The garden and valley which the rooms overlooked was very beautiful and the gardens were extremely well maintained with a bird feeder at eye-level with the Restaurant refilled each morning. The breakfast and bar area overlooking the garden was very pleasant to sit in and read or eat. All the rooms overlook the garden. The private trail just across the road was very pleasant to do first thing in the morning - it was steep in places. Breakfast was excellent consisted of a large bowl of fruit, porridge, scrambled egg and home-made bread.Really lovely place to stay.

The Staff and the Owner were very nice, helpful and understanding. We got tips, what to do and where to go for dinner, if we want to eat somewhere else. The food in their own restaurant was good, but most important was that everything was fresh, self-made and good taste.

We stayed two nights, and the lodge is excellent. We had dinners both days, which were very good. Great staff. We enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder, some toucans showed up. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
