Great motel style accomodation 10 minute walk away from Volcan Tenorio NP. Great breakfast and coffee included in the morning served perfectly just prior to park opening. Staff are accomodating and concerned with guests having the best stay possible. They were on the look out for sloths and toucans for our viewing and gave us good information about the park and eating options in the area. Mini fridge in the room was very helpful if you’re carrying around your own food.

Close to the national park, easy to beat the rush in the morning. Best part was bird watching from the breakfast area. The owner even took us for a walk around when I said I wanted to see toucans and he pointed out so many to me! He went above and beyond it was so wholesome.

I had a wonderful stay here! The host was incredibly nice and welcoming, and gave me great tips about visiting the waterfall and local places to eat, which made my trip even better. The accommodation was very cozy and comfortable, and the location is excellent — only about a 10-minute walk to the park entrance. I felt at home and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! 🌿✨

“Amazing friendly owners make this place special”

This was one of the best places we've stayed on our 10 month trip backpacking. We picked it because it was walking distance to Tenorio National park, but it ended up being much more. The room was great, hot shower and fridge were amazing, and lots of storage space, shelves, hooks, places to put bags etc, it's amazing how these simple things make a big difference! The gardens behind the house were a bird haven too, I saw so many amazing species, including the holy-grail, snowcap hummingbird on the last day!!!! So special! There was also a sloth in the tree behind too. And as vegetarians/vegans we appreciated Metamorphosis restaurant next door... But the best thing about this place is the owners. They live on site and are very kind and generous with their time, patient with non-spanish speakers (like us) and made the stay very special for us. They helped us so much, collecting us from the bus stop, showing us where the local sloths were, helping to arrange, drive us to, and joining us on a night tour (which was incredible and we saw a tapir and a kinkajou!). We loved everything about our stay. Thank you for having us! Pura Vida!

Perfect location just 600 m from the park entrance. You can also park here to save 6 USD parking fees on park entrance. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

“One Night in Rio Celeste”

We stayed one night in order to visit the Rio Celeste Free Pool and the Parque Nacionel Volcan Tenorio. We walked to the park and were able to leave our car at the Cabinas. The owner recommended a soda just down the hill for supper and it was spot on. Gracius!

The location, which was close to the Tenorio National Park. But in reality, it is sits in the middle of nowhere. The owners are friendly and they provide a generous, traditional breakfast included in the $100 U.S. price for two nights. If you are coffee drinker, you will be provided with a water down liquid...

Well located guesthouse within walking distance of the Rio Celeste park entrance. The hosts are super friendly and although they didn't speak english we still communicated well through google translate. They even recommended a place to see sloths that was away from the expensive tourist sites!

“Practical stay for Tenorio NP visit (Rio Celeste)”

Our room was on the ground floor with parking right in front of it. Breakfast is typical costarican and fruit, very tasty, plentiful, on a covered patio with beautiful views of the lush nature around, even when it's raining. The owners provide food to attract local birds - we saw among others a toucan and a yellow tailed big bird as well as hummingbirds. Good AC in 1 bedroom, the other room gets the cold air through the door. Shower good enough. Good value for money.

I can recommend. Breakfast was good. We walked to PN, the car could stay at AP after check-out.

A wonderful accommodation with lovely owners. Everything was wonderful, more than just great typical breakfast made with love, parking in front of our room, warm shower after a jungle night tour at tapir valley 3km next to this place. Definatly recommandation!

Fantastic place, very clean and peaceful. Close to Rio Celeste (just a short walk). The owner is very nice, we stopped for one night only, but we could leave our car parked there the next day while we were visiting the national park

“Calm stay with lovely hosts”

Miguel and Marjorie were hospitable and helpful. The traditional breakfast they made was amazing. Location is really close to the entrance to Volcan Tenorio national park. The view from the top deck is beautiful.
