The host, Karachi is wonderful - very helpful and kind. We were there for three nights and really loved our stay. Was perfect location for our stay and very traditional and comfortable.

“Calm stay near Biei”

This was one of the best accommodation we have during our winter trip in Japan. Access was easy with a car despite the snow. The chill vibes of the pension are perfect if you are looking for something quiet and relax, same with the location. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room was spacious with a nice view and the heating was working perfect. During our stay there were no other guests so we didn't have to share, however, facilities look like enough for all the rooms. I highly recommend to stay here if you have the opportunity.

It is quiet and very private. We are lucky to be the only ones having the whole house to ourselves as we came during off peak season (early Oct). I like the tatami floor.

“A unique place highly recommended”

The house is so uniquely decorated with lots of interesting memorabilia which comes together so well. You do get the feeling like you’re on the set of a Studio Ghibli film. Facilities are basic but adequate. It’s in a remote location but that’s part of its charm. It’s peaceful and quiet which put us really at ease. Coming from the city, it felt like an old memory of a more peaceful time.

Breakfast was amazing!!! I was so full by the end of the meal. I couldn't believe I was able to sleep well without air-conditioning, as I live in Tokyo and this just isn't possible there. Hokkaido's temperature was perfect and I had a wonderful rest in the clean air.

Being the only guests during our stay was a bonus! The whole house was for us. Quite and comfortable. A home away from home. The host Takashi-san was friendly, caring and helpful.

He is as beautiful as a Miyazaki Hayao fairy tale house, the breakfast is very delicious, the scenery is beautiful ,unforgettable, the bed is also very comfortable, the dogs are really cute and lovely，the owner must be passionate about life

The pension owned by the couple are nice people. The food they prepare are delicious. The rooms n toilets are immaculate very comfortable beds. The view from the room are amazing. The dogs are adorable. The whole experience is like a novel in Alice in wonderland.

“It's Hayao Miyazaki's home！”

Such a lovely home! There are no other buildings around to block the view, much like a fairy tale house. The hosts are very friendly, and the breakfast is very authentic, a home-cooked meal that allows you to experience Japanese culture. The two little pets at home are very enthusiastic. Thank you for giving me an unforgettable trip.

“Lovely cottage feel countryside stay with the sweetest owners ever.”

The owners of Pension Ki no Uta are incredibly sweet and friendly people. They have a lovely garden and grow herbs and flowers that they include in the meals they make and tea that they serve. The house feels like you’re actually just coming home for the evening after a day of exploring. There are also super adorable pets.
