Remote quiet location, next to the waterfall, nice view.

Buffet breakfast and dinner were exceptional! As was the onsen. Gift shop was great. And lay dry facilities were perfect! Staff was really nice!

They have a good Onsen facility and nice dining area for breakfast! I find the drinking water from the tap nice too. I believe it’s natural spring water. It’s also nearby many scenic spots.

The carpet on the floor was very old and not clean, what was bad that slippery blanket was always slipping on that carpet, the blanket sheet was very small so feet and legs were touching the blanket. I got a rash on my ankles. Also I got a sinusitis. It was bad…

“Beautiful location and friendly staff.”

The rooms in the wing (I think East Wing), were a bit dated, but that added to the charm of the place. The location was superb, and in a quaint area. The size of the rooms were huge, compared to most of the other hotels we've stayed in in Japan.

Perfect location but too old hotel. Room and bed need to be redone 100%

Great onsen but the road to takachifake ski area closed so had to drive the long way via kamafurano

“Amazing Location for Biei's Attractions”

The service was excellent - I was picked up at Asahikawa Airport when I arrived and dropped off at Asahikawa Station when I left, and they run evening tours to the blue pond. I also loved the breakfast and dinner - there were plenty of vegetarian options - and Shirahige Falls are a two minute walk from the hotel, and absolutely beautiful. The concierge came running out to grab my suitcase when I arrived and knew me by name when I went on the blue pond excursion and when I checked out.

“Excellent hotel fro hikers”

Pick up and return from local railway station (about 20mins) all included !! Well located inside national park, about 30 mins walk to Blue lakes, the waterfalls were just outside the hotel entrance. Very interesting volcano museum up a long flight of steps on the other side of the water fall, very much worth the climb up, short film in English and plenty of detailed explanations about volcanoes in English. The hotel Onsen was excellent as was the buffet diner and breakfast. Thank you !

Family friendly. Buffet has thoughtful area for young children to self serve themselves with food. Sledding is provided as there’s a small slope behind. Be careful though as it’s a carpark. Behind the hotel has a beautiful waterfall. Nice breakfast and dinner buffet spread.
