Desert Waves Camp offered an exceptional experience. I particularly liked its secluded location and the diverse range of activities provided. The dinner was outstanding, easily the best meal of my Oman trip and truly delicious. Wounderful camp! You can walk a few meters and are in beautiful dunes, because it is on a „side street“ and not at the main road like other camps. It was easy to find with google maps and also the street is easy to drive by yourself (with 4x4). The Food was the best we had on our whole trip!! The tents are so nicely decorated and huge and there are only 10 tents, what we liked a lot! The host seems to care for the environment, because all the lights are solar-powered. And the staff was generally so friendly. The host proactively wrote us in advance, what we appreciated. We totally recommend!

The most amazing, peaceful desert stay. We drove to the camp excorted by one of the guys, the camp only has 10 tents and no other camps in sight. Love the Arabian style tents - simple, yet cosy and stylish. We stayed with our 3 month old baby. We watched the beautiful sunset from one of the tops of the dunes at the camp. The dinner was beyond our expectations- we are vegetarian and they made a delicious, flavoursome veggie buffet. Shout out to the amazing chef. The stars are incredible at night. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay!

A wonderful experience in a beautifully detailed tent camp set in an incredible landscape. Saud and his sons were amazing hosts, always welcoming and attentive. The extra activities, especially the sunset experience and the sunrise camel ride, were perfectly organized. The dinner was outstanding — without a doubt the best meal we had during our trip to Oman.

“Spacious comfortable camp with good (Bangladeshi) food”

Amazing camp that is relatively isolated. You can hear some noises from nearby camps at night (music playing) but does not bother you. There are some dunes right up next to the camp that are good for walking and seeing over the dune valleys. Dinner / breakfast food is served by chefs from Bangladesh - it was not Omani food but still really good. The tents are quite big and everything is clean and comfortable

The camp is located not so far away from the town of Al Wasil, which is great if it is your first experience of driving in the desert (which isn't so hard btw; you just have to have your tires deflated in one of the tire repair shops in the town, and to re-inflate them when you leave - we paid 2 OMR in total). The camp offered several activities, and we picked sunset camel ride, which was an amazing experience. The food of dinner and breakfast was really good, as well as the welcome tea

10 out of 10! Really! It is exactly what a stay in the desert should be. Remote, comfortable and without unnecessary luxuries like a pool. If you really want a feeling of luxury beduin life then this is the place! Saud is an amazing host - super friendly and he tells you all about Oman. Really an amazing experience! Wish we would have stayed for another night.

Loved the small size of the camp, we drove by ourselves with your 4WD and it was only 20min slow drive on the sand. Dinner served was one of the most amazing meals we had in Oman. It was great to get to speak to the owner of the camp in the evening and get to know more about the Omani culture

“Comfy small camp with very welcoming hosts”

We liked that it's a comparatively small camp so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert. For the two nights we stayed it was only us and a second couple. The tents are very comfy and we liked the style. The food was good and our host,Saud and his family, as well as the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed the activities we booked, especially the desert tour with Beduine visit. We learned a lot about the desert and its people! Thank you, Saud and team!

“Really excellent!”

My friend and I had a really wonderful stay at desert waves camps. Saud and his son, Salem were really great and friendly hosts. The food was really delicious and the best of our trip! The activities were really fun and informative (we did the desert tour, sand boarding and quad biking). The common area and tents were great to relax. A really great stay, would definitely return!

The Camp position Is perfect far away from the roads on top of dune. The Camp is managed by a family with great attention to details and personal touch that large camps do not have at all. The central tent for coffee dinner and breakfast is super comfortable and invite you to sleep in the patio open air. Mr.Saud the founder and his son will help you through the activities ( dune bashing a must). You can easily drive by yourself to the Camp is well indicated but you need a 4wd and to deflate your tires. Las but not least dinner and breakfast are high quality and very abundant. Thank you again for you great hospitality.

The camp was small and quiet. The staff were attentive and the food was spiced beautifully. The sleeping tent was spacious and felt luxurious. We had good instructions on how to deal with tyres and find the camp and we didn't need a guide.
