No better way to live the desert 😊 Amazing sunrise/sunset in a peacufully environnent.

“Beautiful little camp for an evocative desert experience.”

Beautiful tented camp in a great location, just off the road but nestled in the dunes. Many other camps, however, were right on the road and decidedly less romantic. We reached it with our off-road vehicle, it is absolutely essential to have a 4x4, but it is not difficult to get there, the only problem is understanding which is the right road to take on the dunes. You need to take the steep road uphill on the left, a few hundred meters after the Sama Al Wasil camp. When you reach the top of the dunes, turn right and you've arrived. The welcome, dinner, and breakfast were all exceptional—excellent food and great courtesy. It's truly well-run. We took the dune bashing tour at sunrise with the camp owner, and it was really nice.

“Highlight of our week in Oman”

Pretty far in the desert, great. Information given before was helpful, bookings for camel ride (etc) was offered. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and fun. Campfire was the highlight of the trip for our teenage daughter. Tent was basic (as one can expect), but well equipped. Dinner was very tasty.

Great service, clean, spacious, and tranquil. It’s nice that there are only ten tents maximum, so we can enjoy the desert with highest quality. Everything is well organized, very clean. We took the camel riding with sunset, which was so beautiful! We went up the dunes, and had plenty time to watch the sunset, take photos, and enjoy the magic hours. We also asked for watching the camel race. Though there was no race, Ali took us to the place where camels are trained for racing. And it was very interesting too! Would definitely recommend Ali’s place!

“A perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life”

It’s a standalone camp, isolated from the others, quiet location but easy to get around, love the aesthetic of the camp and Ali is a very skill full driver who drove us around for the sunrise tour and a very friendly gentleman who talked to us about the local culture

Everything went really well, it was very soothing and we had a great time with everyone, I really recommend. Everyone is exceptionally kind.

The desert camp experience in Oman was beautiful! The setting, the hospitality, and the adventure made it unforgettable. Truly a top-tier experience. It was soo relaxing and the Ali hospitality. I went there with my mother and sister it was peaceful and we learned alot from the history. If i ever would go back to Oman i will visit this camp and stay much longer

“Once in your lifetime eperience”

Quiet and remote location. Tent has own toilet and washroom / shower behind the tent. No warm water. Tents are quite well separated from each other. To our surprise: 4G coverage! You can see the stars. And many planes at 10 km high (air corridor), you can even hear them faintly! Campfire. Friendly people

Amazing experience and beautiful setting. Remote, luxurious tents and a wonderful dinner. And genuinely lovely staff. Everything has been thought through, practiced and perfected

“Perfect one-day desert escape — magical camp, stunning dunes, exceptional host”

Everything! Camp is beautifully situated in the middle of the desert and quite far from the city. Tent was clean, spacious, fully equipped. Very comfortable bed. Each tent has a private bathroom. Host is very kind and welcoming! Delicious food for both dinner and breakfast. We chose to have a sunset camel ride and had a pleasure to ride on 2 beautiful camels :) Even though there was barely a sunset (cloudy day happened) we were very pleased with this time spent on the dunes! I’d be happy to come back for a less cloudy night to check out the starry sky :)

“Desert experience”

Great desert experience! The camp has only a few tents, which made it feel very private, as if we were the only ones in the desert. Since we didn’t have a 4x4, pickup was arranged for 25 OMR per group, which was very convenient. The tent is simple but comfortable, with two chairs, a mirror, bathroom amenities, and a large bed. Having a private bathroom was a nice bonus. We did the sunset dune bashing, which was excellent — we enjoyed a beautiful sunset and saw camels along the way. Dinner and breakfast were included and both were delicious, and tea, coffee, dates, and fruit were available for guests at all times. Overall, it’s a wonderful way to experience the desert.

Magical stay in the middle of the desert. The host is super nice and helped us find our guide. Fruit snacks and tea/coffee (available 24/7), dinner and breakfast included which is convenient! BBQ meat (with some camel) was really good.

The location was stunning, especially for the first timers in the desert.

“Amazing stay in the desert!”

Great location. Camp communicated really well and told us where to go to deflate tyres and meet the guide to show us the way to the camp. Camel ride was wonderful. Food was plentiful and the music and fire after dinner was fantastic. Everyone was so helpful and kind like we’ve seen all over Oman.
