Hard to find room.

Very clean, had everything we needed, good location for us

I've used this hotel chain several times in France, but this one in Biarritz was the worst experience: we arrived and the hotel was under construction, and we had to walk to the Campanille reception (funny how the hotel sends an email saying they'll charge an €80 deposit, but they don't inform you that it's under construction and that the reception is in a different location!). They then assigned us room 14, and when we arrived, the room hadn't been cleaned at all (dirty bathroom, full wastebasket, bed not changed, and no bath towels). I went back to reception, and after insisting, they assigned us room 55, which also didn't have an empty wastebasket. I was already tired and didn't go back to reception, which was far away, but it really worries me why a hotel bothers to charge deposits to its customers and doesn't do the "basic" thing, which is to clean the rooms completely!

Good friendly staff, The hotel was going through a revamp, Myself and Partners stayed in one of the rooms that had been re+done, the room was first class, We will definitely be staying here again. The rest of the chain could do with the same revamp.

The location

The smell! OMG the smell🤮 The worst room I've ever stayed in. It is not a hotel. It is a motel. But that aside, the room was small, dark, dingy, dirty and the smell was just awful. I asked for a different room and the woman at reception suggested I spray deodorant in the room! Begrudgingly she gave us another room but the smell there was just as bad. Hard to describe it but it was like a cross between cat/dog/human urine. Absolutely awful. We left at sunrise because we just could not stick the smell any longer. The place needs to be closed down
