Overview
Set in a 30-hectare chestnut forest, Bosco Ciancio is in the heart of Mount Etna Nature Reserve. Dating back to the 18th century, this ancient manor features a large garden with outdoor dining area. The rooms at Bosco Ciancio are bright and decorated with warm colours. All with wood-beamed ceilings, they also feature a fridge. Some rooms come with a French balcony. This stone farmhouse has a shared lounge with arched ceilings and a bar. Breakfast is continental and the restaurant serves traditional Sicilian cuisine. It uses only the freshest ingredients and meat from local pastures. Staff organise massages, Nordic walking lessons and excursions to Mount Etna upon request. Parking is free and Biancavilla centre is 7 km away. Catania city centre on the coast is around 1 hour's drive away.

What an absolutely exceptional place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the tranquillity and the sense of escaping the busy tourist crowds. We enjoyed it so much that we changed our plans and dedicated an entire day to simply relaxing in the beautiful courtyard and exploring the stunning forest trails surrounding the property. The food was outstanding. Easily some of the finest we have tasted anywhere in Italy. The chef, along with every member of staff, went above and beyond to make our stay special. She even prepared delicious meals for our 6-year-old daughter that were not on the menu, which was a thoughtful touch we greatly appreciated. We loved the exclusive guest-only restaurant and fully embraced the authentic Italian dining experience throughout our stay. Every meal was memorable and showcased the quality and passion that goes into the food here. Giuseppe was fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, he made us feel completely at home from start to finish. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Mount Etna’s foothills, surrounded by nature, outstanding hospitality, and incredible food, this place is worth every penny. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night after hiking Mount Etna and it was such a great experience. The hosts who met us were incredibly nice and the communication was smooth the whole way through. They were also very helpful and accommodating even though we arrived a bit past the check in time. We were served a really delicious pasta dish in a super cozy setting which we loved. The room was also large and lovely with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom. We truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in the area.

Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with a great selection and high-quality food. The location was outstanding, making the stay both convenient and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the setting felt unique and special overall.

“Second visit didn't disappoint!”
Second time staying at Bosco Ciancio. It is such a wonderful location, beautifully submerged in nature and perfectly tranquil. Having visited in both summer and autumn, I can say it is the perfect spot in all seasons. Quiet, cosy rooms. Great pool. Love the nature walk. And the meals are all exceptional.

Absolutely loved our stay at Bosco Ciancio, capped off by witnessing some remarkable nighttime volcanic activity in the car park. This is a gorgeous, rustic countryside spot, managed with love and care by a small and extremely smiley team of hosts. A beautiful, peaceful property, well located for exploring Etna, and I can also recommend the wine tasting & Etna tour booked via the property. Biggest mention goes to the food, which is exceptional. Real sense of home cooking with fresh produce but also a constantly innovative menu that never gets boring. Some of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. Great wine selection too, and breakfast is excellent as well. The perfect home for exploring Etna!
