Unique architecture, period atmosphere, beautiful forest location, exquisite cuisine - Apartamenty Carskie offers accommodation in the heart of Bialowieza Forest. Apartments Carskie occupy a wonderfully restored water tower. Next to it, the wooden railway station, which was built exclusively for Tsar Nicholas II, has been recently renovated to evoke the times of Anna Karenina. Every detail - from the antique furniture and paintings, to the photographs and windows - has been meticulously arranged. During your stay at Apartamenty Carskie, you can relax in the traditional Russian sauna and enjoy some fine dining in the restaurant. Free WiFi connection is available in all the apartments, and breakfast is included in the room rate. The hotel can organise for you outdoor feasts by the fire with roast wild boar and live music, carriage rides, sleigh rides and horseback riding. The Bialowieza Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the last and largest remaining ancient forests in Central Europe, is right on your doorstep.

Our stay started off poorly with a grumpy receptionist and a room with a shower instead of the advertised bathtub. We also didn’t expect to pay extra for the sauna, especially at this price. However, the historic charm of the hotel, along with a lovely breakfast and fantastic dinner, made up for it. While the experience had potential for five stars, the service and lack of support, especially given the remote location, made it feel more like a fancy Airbnb than a hotel.

“Spectacular time-capsule splendour”
Apartamenty Carskie is like stepping through a portal to another time. We stayed inside one of the train carriages that had been transformed into a superb, luxury sleeper with all the splendour of the era of Tsar Nicholas II. The care and finesse that has been applied to its design and furnishings is extraordinary - every detail has been thoughtfully executed. The surrounds are also exquisite, through the carriage windows you take in the magnificent trees of the forest and local meadows - it truly is an unforgettable experience and we are so grateful for the opportunity.

Very good location, excellent breakfast, one particularly helpful waiter (Piotr) whose English was very good and thus helpful to us, advice about travel, taxis, highlights of the surrounding area. Unique location with the old trains etc, very peaceful, wonderful birdsong and lovely nature all around. The restoration of the station, restaurant etc is excellently done, very redolent of something like the era of the Tsars, if you like that sort of thing. The Bialowieza forest is amazing and fascinating and on the doorstep; the town itself has many delights, some great walks and bikes can be hired for longer excursions.

“An amazing wonderland!”
I don't know of any other place where every detail is so refined. A brilliant atmosphere created by the service and the visionary boss. The food is a real poetry of flavours! Products of the highest quality. Great Polish wines. But the most wonderful thing are the interiors and their design. Wonderfully comfortable beds! Peace and quiet. Fairytale surroundings! We even managed to see a bison in the clearing next door. Simply phenomenal! This is the second time we've been here, and we'll be coming back in the Spring! There is no more original place in Europe! Wonderful!!!

OMG an amazing location in Bialowieze Forest close to the Belarusian border. Stayed in one of the railway carriages, such a novel and incredible experience. Carriage was comfy, roomy and very very special. Restaurant in the adjacent old stations building was perfect. Worth the long drive to get there.

An exceptional idea of renting apartments in vintage railway wagons. All details carefully selected to look as if it was the first decade of 1900s. Delicious food. Great location, peaceful and quiet.
