“Exceptional experience all round”

The property itself has a beautiful layout. There were plenty of trees filled with local birdlife, hammocks scattered throughout the grounds (if you’re lucky enough to get some downtime), and the rooms were comfortable, with cool showers and air conditioning. Anil, the owner, along with his parents and staff, were all incredibly friendly and ensured every comfort was taken care of. Anil organised an all-inclusive package for our stay, which included a full-day walking safari, a jeep safari, a rafting safari, a night in the watchtower, and, on our final evening, a traditional dance performance by local people. Papa Jit (Anil’s father) is a retired park ranger and avid birdwatcher. He offered to join us on a tour and was somewhat of a local celebrity among many of the other guides throughout the park. Between him and our guide, Arjun, they provided amazing insight into the park’s history and native wildlife, which made the experience even more memorable. They were also active in ensuring that we saw as much of the park and as many of the native animals as possible (varying deer species, warthogs, rhinos, elephant, otters, monkeys, mongoose, reptiles and so many birds). The food was exceptional, with the chefs making the best roast potatoes in all of Nepal and being very flexible catering to our western stomachs.

“Gem”

I stumbled upon this absolute gem by pure coincidence, as it often happens. The place is absolutely beautiful sitting nestled in djungle and nature. The property has very nice rooms, clean and comfy, but also an open vibe if you want to engage with other travellers. The restaurant i found to be good as well and i enjoyed the meals i had there. And of course, Anil. He makes this place what it is. Present and pleasant and always up for a chat or to assist in any matter! Thank you! I sincerely hope to return here one day with more time. “Perfect inside Bardiya National Park”

Our (group of 6) stay at RIVERSIDE VIEW PARK RESORT (inside Bardiya National Park) was truly the highlight of our trip to Bardiya. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was second to none. The resort itself is a beautiful, peaceful oasis surrounded with good green garden but what really sets it apart is the incredible team. The staff are very polite, kind, and attentive, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect without ever being intrusive. We were also thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. Every meal was fresh, flavorful and served with a genuine smile. It’s rare to find a place where the service and the surroundings are in such perfect harmony. Highly recommended!"

I had a wonderful stay at Bardia Riverside View Park Resort. The place is incredibly beautiful and peaceful — perfect for relaxing and connecting with nature. The staff were truly amazing: kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was also a highlight, absolutely delicious and made with care. “Amazing staff, location and safari.”

We just had an amazing 11 day stay at Riverside View Bardia. We found it so easy to reach by taking a local bus (the a/c actually worked) from the old bus station (costing 2,000 rupees per person) at Pokhara directly to Ambasa. Anil (the owner) kindy provided the details of a local TukTuk driver who was waiting to take us the final 12 kms to Bardia. The location is absolutely beautiful, right by the river with peaceful natural surroundings (close to a local village,market and the Elephant Breeding Centre) that make it perfect for relaxation. Anil and his staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the food was fresh and delicious with a nice variety of options (very large portion sizes). Going on a jeep safari is a must, and the park is only a 10 minute stroll away. We came to Bardia to sepecifically see a Bengal Tiger (which we did), but also such an amazing variety of Deer and so many birds. The safari is all day, and come included with park entrance and a ‘hearty’ lunch. Overall, Riverside View Bardia is a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, great hospitality, and a serene riverside experience. Highly recommended!

“A rustic ecolodge within walking distance to the park”

From the moment we booked the property, the owner Anil was there to answer any questions we had. I had never been to this part of Nepal so I had a lot of questions. We arrived at the airport in Nepalgunj, Arjun our driver/guide/expert at everything was there to pick us up and drive us the 2 quick hours to the property. Along the way he made stops to interpret the local environment to us, and to point out some crocodiles basking along the river bank. When we arrived at the property Anil was there to greet us and show us around. It’s a fairly rustic property, so don’t expect the Hilton, but we were looking to have a more local, rustic retreat (there were some geckos on the walls keeping the bugs at bay, and they quickly became very good friends of ours) The property sits just outside of the local village, so there is no road noise, airplane sounds or anything except the sound of birds and countryside living. We rented the 3 bed room for 2 of us, the beds were comfy and large, and the included mosquito net kept us sleeping soundly. We went on a walking safari and a jeep safari, both were absolutely worth the the money. Arjun guided us both days and was there to explain and interpret the flora and fauna of the park (I’m a park ranger myself so I was inundating him with questions about the local wildlife). We saw over 70 species of bird, 3 species of deer, a rhino and a leopard on our jeep tour! The leopard was within 20 feet of the jeep for the better part of 20 minutes, absolutely incredible. The high fives that Arjun and Sudan (our driver) shared with us could be heard for miles. Our third day we rented some of their simple bicycles and rambles through the villages, eating samosas and roadside stands, getting ice cream and helping the local school children practice their English with us (and our terrible Nepalese with them lol). Long story short we had a great time, and we were treated like family. Thanks to Anil and the staff! We will be back

“A beautiful property perfect for a relaxing stay before or after a safari”

The staff were so nice and attentive, Anil the host is really helpful and can organise jeep or walking tours in the park for you. The food was great, especially the Dal Bhat. The property itself is perfectly set up for a relaxing stay with hammocks in the garden to read or table/ huts to set up and work for a while, they even have PowerPoints! It’s a peaceful place and very quiet so I had an amazing relaxing stay, I stayed for over a week!

Wonderful time in Baridya with Anil and his family. I came for a week and I stayed for a month. The place is so peaceful and I could really feel my body was healing there... Love it! Thanks for sharing this magic place!

“Great hotel and nice staff”

This is the best hotel in Bardia. The owner is very helpful and friendly. He always concern my need and make sure everything is ok during my stay. He arranged pickup from bus station for me, organised the jungle walk for me with a reasonable price, help with my bus ticket reservation. During the Tihar festival, he free the dinner for me and l am so thankful for this kindness. The hotel is very spacious and the room is clean and quiet. The food are delicious and organic. The breakfast is included. They provided very good hospitality to guest and l appreciated a lot. I highly recommend this hotel for traveler to stay when visit Bardiya.

We stayed for two nights immersed in the forest with breathtaking sunsets. The staff was friendly and welcoming, with everything you could need. The cleanliness was impeccable, but the highlight of the resort was undoubtedly the cuisine, which was decidedly above average. It's a family-run resort with plenty of outdoor space for relaxing.

“A beautiful relaxing stay within wildlife”

A beautiful resort close to the Thakudwara entrance to Bardiya National Park, the food was lovely and the surroundings were very peaceful. So many birds and butterflies to watch within the property, with promise of an occasional leopard, you can sit there and relax in peace. They organised a great jungle safari for me, I saw rhinos, Great Hornbills, Great Slaty woodpecker, crocodiles and many deer. I also saw a wild elephant from the sunset spot, a short walk from the property, where you can see tame elephant close up. No tiger spotted but going in September I would have had to be very lucky for that. no

“Excellent location very close to tiger sighting areas!”

The location of the property is absolutely amazing. You can walk right into the heart of the park in just ten minutes. The location is quiet and peaceful. The grounds of the property are very green and pleasant. The manager has good English, which is helpful and will arrange your game outings at a very good price.

A wonderful peaceful place with incredible service. Anil and his family and staff is very lovely people and will help you with whatever you need (junglewalk, jeep, treehouse, bus-tickets, ect). The food is so delicious and the prices are very friendly. I stayed here for 6 days :) Would recommend to everybody who visits Bardiya.

Great hotel and beautiful garden. Anil was nice and helpfull. He organised the safari and take care of everything so you don’t have to worry about that.

I experienced Anil as kind host, always up for a little chat and willing to help with safaris or whatever one wishes to do around Bardiya. The resort is located between the sunset spot and the entrance of the national park. If you are adventurous you can take a dip in the river right in front of the gates. Authentic village life can be seen in the sorrounding area.
