Nice location right at Durbar square. The room was spacious and clean, overlooking Durbar square, the shower powerful and hot. Got woken up by temple bells and chanting which we liked.

As is often the case in Nepal, operatic dogs sometimes launch into arias at night, but the scrumptious Shiva breakfast will soon fortify you against any loss of sleep. Shiva Guest House is also a restaurant serving delicious food and the niche little Bar is always open. Kailash is also extremely helpful with transport needs. He provided me with RAJU an excellent driver, whose services and Kailash’s care and concern, extended beyond my actual stay at Shiva Guest House. Kailash, Santa and the whole Shiva Team will ensure you have wonderful and truly memorable stay and your Shiva experience will be a top talking point with your friends and family when you return home!

“Perfect location and very nice coffee!”

The staff, particularly the owner, were super helpful and nice. When we arrived we were all offered a complimentary hot drink and I was made a very nice barista coffee which was delightful after a couple of weeks trekking! The room was very nicely decorated, spacious and clean. The location is excellent, literally within the heritage area, overlooking the temples. The breakfast was also very good - you can choose what you want from the menu. I would definitely recommend staying here, if I ever come back to Bhaktapur, I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, wonderful breakfast, very kind people. Early mornings and evenings, thanks to the location of the guesthouse, you can enjoy Bhaktapur's magic seeing locals praying, going to school and just doing daily jobs. My husband and I found that very special. Walking to the Detraya square 10 minutes away is another recommendation, to enjoy the daily life of Bhaktapur and its inhabitants.

The location was perfect and the staff - especially Kailash - incredibly helpful. Definitely the best place to stay in Bhaktapur, especially if you’re staying for several days. Food is good too.

“Bhaktapur , the place to stay!”

Perfect location on Durbar Square,, the only pedestrian rea of Bhaktapur. Stunning view from the window on the square. ATM Machine located just there. The owner helped us downloading the taxi app, offered us coffee and water too which was unexpected but super nice.

Where do I start? The location - perfect, right within Durbar Square. The staff - amazing, they can’t do enough to make your stay memorable. The room - unbelievable, our room overlooked the historic square. This particular hotel should be on every traveller’s bucket list. The whole experience is simply magical.

Amazing location with great views, the people were so so friendly and helpful, and on top of that the bed was soft and the bathroom was modern. Really loved this place and would recommend it to everyone!

I actually booked this place by accident, and was expecting to be in another hotel we used before. However we were chuffed to bits with the error, a truly fantastic location, stunning views of Dubar square , very nice and helpful staff, we could not of asked for more.

The Shiva Guest House is located in the heart of Bhaktapur which makes it easy to explore all sights on foot. The room was cosy, with an amazing view and was clean. Wifi works well and the staff was very friendly. I can also recommend their restaurant! The food was great! I loved everything about my stay ar Shiva Guest House and would stay there again.

Friendly staff but lazy because rooms weren’t cleaned at all, bathrooms were dirty and not well preserved. Nope not a good hotel. If you want more persons, you need to do more efforts. Good location!
