“Lovely place to stay”

Lovely spot to stay beside/on top of the river with a nice garden run by a very friendly and helpfull couple. 7 min walk in to the tourist village of Beze with a couple of bars and resturants. Parking on site and a very tasty breakfast. A delightful place to stay.

What a great place to stay! Christine & Eric are the most wonderful hosts. The village is very beautiful We are definitely coming back.

“Nice to stay a night or 2”

Stunning location to stay one or two nights. The mansion itself was also very beautiful with a lot of history in it. The age of the building also makes it a little noisy but comfortable nonetheless. The room was spacious and clean. However, also very basic. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We sure would go back another time.

Location was amazing. River went right under the whole house with the mill race visible from the bedroom. Outside the river made an enormous noise but nothing was audible in the house. Easy walk to local restaurant which the owners booked for us. Separate review needed for that. Beze is a very beautiful village to visit but nothing was open on the Monday we stayed. Lovely to walk around though. Parking is right outside. Owners were lovely.

We did not have breakfast on this visit due to our travel timings. The Owners/Hosts are very helpful. They booked a table at a local restaurant (Le Relais; a short walk but outstanding food, Service and value.).

Staff/owners were friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly with great riverside/wooded walks. Easy walk to some great restaurants. The room (Lancelot) was spacious, clean, comfortable with with great views. The whole building's atmosphere was great. Will stay here again on our return journey and in the future.

The breakfast was excellent with fresh croissaints with home made jam, fruit and yoghurt, all served in the old dining hall full of character. The staff are very friendly and helpful, booking a restaurant for our evening meal in the village for us. The hotel is in a peaceful location and Beze is a lovely village. The rooms are all individual and characterful. This is our third stay at the Moulin de Bele Isle which I think speaks for itself. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a most delightful and memorable stay at Moulin de Belle Isle. Christine and Eric are very dear hosts who are very friendly, helpful, passionate and knowledgeable about the history and sights in the surrounding village of Bèze and are keen to enhance your stay. From the moment you walk into their 16th century residence it is beautiful, calm and atmospheric in a beautiful garden with the local river literally running under the house! Christine and Eric speak very good English and provided us with a very memorable experience of the French way of life, beautiful fresh homemade French breakfasts and a relaxing, comfortable stay after a long trip up from the Alps. If you are ever in the area don’t hesitate to stay here, ample parking and a short walk to the local restaurants and beautiful medieval village of Beze. Thank you Christine and Eric for your excellent hospitality. We could not forget you and would love to return to you if we are travelling in the area again, Mark and Sara

“Superb quiet location in nice hotel”

Excellent location in rural area. Private parking place. Hotel was built on top of river Beze. Hotel was well refurbished, in authentic style. The owner showed us some highlights of the old powerstation and showed us some hiking possibilities.

After a very busy time with work we really needed to stay somewhere quiet and rural . We lucked out with this little gem. It was clean and comfortable and the owners were very nice hosts . I would definitely stay here again we thought that Beze was charming
