We were truly delighted with our stay at Mas Tulipe de Soie. The host is extremely kind and attentive, always ready to help and make us feel at home. The place was impeccably clean and well cared for, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to provide comfort to guests. It is wonderful when a hotel pays attention to every small detail — from organization to coziness — to ensure a perfect experience. The property is a true haven for those seeking tranquility, offering excellent comfort and a stunning view that makes every moment special. Without a doubt, a place to return to and recommend to anyone looking for a charming stay in the region.

We usually stay at 4 and 5 star hotels when we travel, and we travel a lot, so I did not know what to expect here. I have to say that after spending 6 nights at this wonderful gite, I thought this was as good as a luxury hotel, but with a soul! The owners, a super nice, retired Dutch couple, who live on the same property with their two super cute dogs, Pernod and Pastis (!), have done an amazing job with the property and are extremely good hosts. The location: about a 15 minutes drive from the center of Sisteron, the location is excellent as a base to explore all the nearby town and cities by car, and have nature surround you when you want to relax. Apart from Sisteron, I did trips to Gap, Banon, Forcalquier, all in less than an hour, even visited Aix-en-Provence (1h20m), all by electric car. This place combines the rustic feeling of staying in an upscale gite in the middle of nowhere, with great facilities (like the pool), overlooking mountains and nature, with the ease of reaching popular destinations. The gite: we stayed in the larger of the two apartments, including a full kitchen (no oven, only microwave) / dining room / living room, which is very well appointed with everything you may need to cook and eat - even got some fresh eggs from the owners' 4 chickens! - plus a TV if you want to watch something on your favorite streaming media platform before going to bed (great internet too). The bedroom is also very nice and comfortable, so is the bathroom, with a large shower. The gite is very tastefully decorated and super clean, with all the amenities you may need. Outside you have a very nice area to chill, with a table and chairs overlooking the vegetable garden and the mountains, under a tree. The garden is very nice, and super well kept, and the pool is inviting if you feel like cooling down on a hot sunny day. Pernod and Pastis will guard you!

It is the most perfect French countryside accommodation just outside Sisteron. Our hosts were helpful and kind. The room we had was lovely and well equipped with supplies.

What truly sets this place apart are the warm and genuinely friendly hosts, who welcomed us with such kindness that we immediately felt at home. Every detail in and around the house is clearly designed and maintained with great love and care — from the charming interiors to the serene outdoor spaces, everything exudes a sense of thoughtfulness and tranquility. And the breakfast — absolutely spectacular! Delicious, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. It was the perfect way to start our day. We only wish we could have stayed longer. This place is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return!

We liked everything about the property. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, the property was charming, full of character, and immaculately kept. The seething was perfect, peaceful and relaxing with amazing views and just a ten minute drive from Sisteron. The breakfast was well worth the extra €12pp and was all home produced, from the fruit and eggs to the honey. It was perfect!
