“Charming period property close to quaint walled city.”

This hotel had loads of charm. It is filled with antiques and has been decorated with period furniture to emulate the period of the building. It was a bit much but also charming with all of its Knick knacks. The rooms were impressive in their period furniture. Proper antiques. We loved the games room, though they could repair some of the items there as we did use them. They offered a wonderful vintage car rental programme for day trips. That was fantastic. Staff were great. Very accommodating. This is a wedding venue so be aware of that. They even had a little gym which was adequate.

Beautiful place! A must visit at least once in your life! There was a very delicious breakfast, nice friendly staff. It was very interesting to walk around the castle and the territory! A beautiful room with lots of antiques that were interesting to look at.

Excellent in so many way -- especially the staff who were most helpful and friendly at all times. The hotel itself, with all of its furnishing and art, is absolutely and wonderfully fascinating.

The breakfast was good. We went there for a wedding function so the castle hotel offered good facility and a very vintage venue for the joyous occasion. The very classic deco with rich historical background gave a very vintage and museum vibe which we enjoyed very much, took lots of pictures .

“Amazing experience”

It is amazing castle, the best that we have stayed. Great atmosphere, really polite staff that helped me to organise really special evening for my fiance. The rooms are stylish and luxurious. We enjoyed every moment there.

The castle is absolutely beautiful. Personnel were nice. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom had a huge bathtub. We did a wine tasting that was probably one of the best experiences of our stay and I highly recommend it. Easy to reach by train (a car is not strictly necessary) and good connections to visit nearby cities.

This is a fascinating place to stay. There are numerous public spaces packed full of the owners’ collections of antiques and artefacts. It’s really interesting, especially in this historic castle setting. Our room was entirely in keeping, very handsomely furnished in period style but also very comfortable with every modern convenience. The bathroom was equally stylish with classy toiletries provided.

“Creepy Castle”

I like that it was a castle but felt very uncomfortable when we were told we couldn’t leave the 2nd floor from midnight to 8am. We had a nap and heard strange noises. We then read that the castle is haunted by ghosts and it was featured in several tv shows for paranormal activity. Whether we believe in ghosts or not there was no way we were staying there so we checked out at 8pm. Unfortunately we paid the full room rate. The castle is way too creepy for us.

Everything, it was absolutely beautiful, fantastic room, comfortable bed and pillows, fabulous scenery and lovely staff, food was delicious.
