Our Experience at the Holiday Home "La petite Charenteuse" On our journey from Chenonceau to La Rochelle, we – a solo-traveling mother with two daughters (aged 9 and 11) and two well-behaved house cats – were looking for a family- and pet-friendly place to stay in the countryside, with parking, Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped kitchen. The spacious and very well-appointed accommodation provided by Jesse and his family pleasantly surprised us. Although the small house is located on the main road through Beurlay, it offers a charming, fully enclosed outdoor area with lovely garden furniture, large sliding doors, and a bright, welcoming living and dining space. The modern kitchen is excellently equipped, and there is also a washing machine, a separate toilet on the ground floor, and a spacious bedroom upstairs with an en suite bathroom – ideal for up to four people. We particularly appreciated that the living area and staircase can be separated by a door, and that a well-sprung pull-out sofa is available on the ground floor as an additional sleeping option. Parking is conveniently available right on the street in front of the house. Despite our very short-notice booking, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and felt comfortable and well looked after from the very beginning. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at "La petite Charenteuse" and are happy to recommend this friendly accommodation!

“Outstanding!”

I loved everything about this place. It was decorated to a very nice taste and very good standards. Downstairs there was an open space with kitchen, sitting-dining room and a rest room. It also had a lovely court yard to eat outside. Upstairs, it had a magnificent huge bedroom, very nicely decorated with a shower room and a bed for children to sleep in. It was situated by the road in a small village. Close to the studio flat, there was a (bakery) that sold the most amazing bread, sandwiches, and pastries. Nearby we also found a restaurant that served the most delicious food, where we had an amazing dinner. We loved our stay so much! The host was very nice and accommodating. They also accept pets. Our dog loved walking in the court yard. I recommend this place 110 percent!
