We had the most lovely long weekend away, thanks to a wonderful host, Hanlie. The apartment has everything you need (large fridge, pans, airfryer, microwave, multiple coffee options to chose from), plenty of towels (beach towels too) and a very comfy bed. The location was in walking distance to the beach and about a 20 to 25 minute walk to the penguins. The Harold Porter Gardens are a close drive away and incredibly beautiful - if you are here on a Saturday, join for a Park Run!

After a long flight and then the additional drive to Betty's Bay we felt more than welcomed here 😀 such a lovely greeting in the evening, a super clean and comfy place where you can easily rest and relax. We loved the air fryer that evening tbh and besides that there is everything you need and more (from coffee to bathrobes and we never had that many comfy pillows in one bed). So we highly recommend Nivenia Beach House to you!!!! Also - definitely visit the penguins 🤩

“A peaceful stay in the most comfortable apartment”

The apartment was thoughtfully and most beautifully appointed. It had everything you could possible want or need. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, with lovely linen and towels. The kitchen had three coffee stations to start with and we were spoilt with complimentary rusks, chocolate biscuits, milk and wine and a stunning arrangement of protea flowers. Hanlie met us and showed us in and provided lots of detailed information with regards to local facilities and activities. The apartment (Sunset) is set down below the house via stairs and is protected from the wind and rain by a covered enclosed verandah with outdoor dining furniture and a gas BBQ. It does not have a view but you can walk through idyllic sand dunes to the beach via a lagoon and a meandering walk will take you to the penguin colony. There are stunning hikes nearby (hike Leopards kloof to the waterfall from the Harold Porter botanical garden and Hangklip from Pringle Bay). Freshwater wild swimming is available in a local small lake. We loved our time here and can highly recommend it.

Great value for money, the studio was well equiped and clearly a dedicated host has made this an excellent choice - we will be back next year!

Hanlie our host, was very friendly and provided a lot of info of things to do and see in the area. All the amenities you could want and more in the apartment. Location was superb in terms of proximity to the beach. Apartment was very clean, modern and had all the appliances etc that you might need for your stay. Everything was thought out as to what one might need while on holiday. Definitely recommend the property and will be returning again.

Hanlie and Graham have thought of everything when equipping Penguin Apartment. They have done an excellent job. Hanlie greeted us on arrival and showed us round. If I had any questions she always replied by return on Whats App. The apartment was spotless, the bed very comfortable with good quality bed linen and towels and a choice of pillows. The complimentary excellent bottle of red wine was much appreciated. Hanlie sent me lots of info on things to do, places to visit and restaurants. She also gave us directions to the nearest beach which is about a 200m walk. The secure parking was important to us. Another bonus was having Netflix as the weather was unusually bad with a severe storm which meant we couldn’t go out for dinner.

Hanlie & Graham were wonderful hosts. The apartment is an amazing compact property that has everything that you could possibly wish for. Bed was ultra comfy and shower awesome.

We had a fantastic stay at this self-catering unit in Betty’s Bay. Hanlie and Graham are extremely helpful, friendly, and well-organised hosts. Everything was perfectly prepared and in place. The unit is very neat, spotless, and exceptionally well equipped with all the amenities you could need. A special touch was the professionally printed information book about the unit, as well as the helpful tips Hanlie provided with recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit, which was invaluable as we were unfamiliar with the area. We were also warmly welcomed with generous complimentary items on arrival, which was greatly appreciated. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this unit. We will certainly be back.
