Location: so near Friendship Heights where family are located - a stunningly lovely residential and commercial neighbourhood near Washington DC and a recognized luxury goods shopping destination. Consistent Marriott standards and facilities, friendly and helpful staff.

The atmosphere around this area is nice. The people at the front desk and housekeepers were very polite and kind. Friendship Heights station of the metro is less than three blocks away.

The breakfast menu was all-American-hearty, lots of omelettes and eggs every way, with a lot of fruit offerings as well. I always look forward to the friendly smiling faces of the staff as they offer coffee and juice first thing. Service is quick and attentive.

Location and price Laverne was amazing. A star.

All Excelent Time

“why did you charge my card for thtis when I explained to the front desk staff about this? Why?”

The front desk charged my card $40. I was told that this would be a hold on the card not a charge. It has not been cancelled but instead is still on the card. Why is this an issue? becasue when people paying in foreign currencies pay they pay at the credit card companies exchange rate and then get refunded also at the credit cards companies exchange rate to sell - meaning your customers (aka me) are losing money every time I stay with you because of this.

The location was spot on, the little touches like complimentary hot cider and cookies. The gentlmen who served us at breakfast was so polite and very helpful, nothing was too much for him so thankyou.

The breakfast menu had a very good range of offerings, from hearty omelettes and bacon-and-eggs to fruit bowls. The breakfast was always served by cheerful staff, especially Domingo (Hope I spelled it right, he's from Senegal). The location is perfect, right in Friendship Heights, with the Metro a few minutes' walk away. The rooms are very large, comfortable and welcoming, and clearly provide for business travellers to work in the room, if that is required.

Location was good for us, near friends in Chevy Chase, and 30 min metro ride from the Mall. Staff was nice and they offered free coffee and cookies.
