Walking Shark Guest House is a recently renovated guest house in Besir, where guests can make the most of its private beach area and terrace. The property has sea and quiet street views. The accommodation offers full-day security, a housekeeping service and organising tours for guests. The guest house has 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a toaster, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with bathrobes and free toiletries. We had a truly wonderful stay at the Walking Shark Guest House on Gam Island. Nicolas, his family, and the entire team were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The food was delicious—freshly caught fish prepared the same day, tasty fried rice, and more local delights. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the villages of Sawinggrai and Kapisawar. It’s also ideally situated for excursions to Gam Bay, Yenbuba Jetty, Sauwandarek, Friwen Wall, Citrus, and many other stunning spots—all at very reasonable prices. Our bungalow was charming and thoughtfully arranged, with lovely touches like a mirror, bean bag, and hammock—perfect for well-deserved naps. A small beach lined with coconut trees adds even more charm to the place. Waking up to birdsong each morning… paradise really isn’t that far away. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!
