“Excellent small hotel”
We spent about 5 nights at the Pahalage and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a great, intimate atmosphere and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. The garden with swimming pool is lovely and we also enjoyed eating at the restaurant.

“Great value and good location.”
Great value, location, and comfort for a sustainable price. Nice inner court with a swimming pool and calm garden. Rooms and beds clean, with fridge and kettle, excellent buffet breakfast. We had a double room and a triple room with balcony - good for family stay. The nearest beach is great for little children - shallow and still water bounded with a coral reef.

“Great Start in our Holiday”
Very nice guesthouse with wonderful quiet Garden and Pool. All people absolutely friendly and supportive, every question was answered. Food was excellent. Perfect start for our holiday as a family. We made several Trips with guesthouse guides and drivers. Interesting tours. Learned a lot about Sri Lanka. Thank you!

Room was very clean and huge, plenty of space for the four of us. Nice porch in front of the room where my wife and I had a beer. Tasty restaurant, staff very kind and helpful. Very close to the beach, nice swimming pool.

“Marvellous place!”
I'm an expat living in Sri Lanka for 2 years. Been to a dozen of hotels around the island and so far this one of my favorite places. It's a nice small hotel/guesthouse for like 10 rooms. The garden and scenery inside is absolutely marvellous! They have a pool and unlike most of the enormous hotel pools with water temperature +30C in SL, it's small and really refreshing! The staff is really pleasant and helpfull (special cheers to Achala :). There was a construction works going in the neighborhood, and they moved me to the better room in another block far away from the noise for free. All the minor problems with the equipment have been dealt immediately. Very pleasant people and atmosphere where I felt like home. The location is also very nice - it's 1.5 hour ride from Colombo and you can just go there for a weekend. I came for 3 days, stayed for 2 weeks. WiFi is pretty good. It's also 3 minute walk from northern Moragalla beach which has a distant underwater reef that protects from waves and high tide even at the worst weather and during off season. Breakfast is good as well as dinner a-la-carte. This is not a luxury place but really cozy and totally worth the price. Will come back there again for sure

Nice garden. Vast menu including continental European choices if you fancy a change. Clean pool. Pleasant staff at reception - lovely ladies❤️ Good buffet breakfast

“Good budget guest house. Not definitely don’t overpay for this.”
Staff were helpful, this property is appropriately priced at about $50-70 a night. Anything more than that and it would be over priced. It’s a good budget guesthouse that is well located. The beach it has access to is a very nice beach as it has a natural sea wall that allows really safe sea swimming which can be hard to find in Sri Lanka with its stronger currents.

“The best hotel in Sri Lanka.”
The property was beautiful, the staff were EXCELLENT always going above and beyond. As a group of travellers we felt so extremely welcomed, comfortable and safe. The owner dropped and picked us up whenever we wanted to explore the local town for such a reasonable price. I could not recommend staying here enough. The food was delicious and quick as well. THANK YOU!
