Amazing expirience, homelike atmosphere, beautiful house and wonderful host. It's difficult to express how nice time we've had there. It's the place we will miss the most after our two weeks in Sri Lanka. It's true and honest, with soul, and in a standard that exceeded our expectations. I can recommend with all my heart

We stayed 5 nights in this wonderful beach house. Be prepared for an experience close to nature with natural food, beautiful house and garden, literally on the beach. Nothing except location near the beach

Amuura Beach Villa is a beautiful place, clearly built with a lot of care and attention to detail. Everything felt very well thought out, and the breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared. Dinesh was extremely kind and helpful.

Beautiful villa by the sea with views across to lighthouse. Food was fantastic and staff great and accommodating. We were the only guests there. Good secure parking.

“Familiar, tasteful villa right by the beach, with great sunsets”

We had a lovely stay at Amuura Beach Villa with Claire! The villa is beautiful and the atmosphere is very familiar due to the small number of rooms. On the ground floor there is a living room area and an outside dining area. We stayed for two nights and finished our vacation with beach time and great sunsets. Our room was clean and spacious with a moskito net. The shared bathroom was actually no problem at all - it was also clean and nicely designed and offered soap, a hand towel and shampoo for the guests. The beach infront of the villa is small and nice. Nothing for far walks though. We spent a very chilly time on the sunbeds right by the beach underneath the palm trees. Very close to the villa (7 min walk) is a big fish market, which we visited. Entrance is 100 Rupia per person and you get a visitor pass, so people know you won't buy anything. It was a nice experience. To ensure you see most of the fish, be there early, latest by 7 am. Claire also has a nice garden a little away from the villa, which we hadn't the time to visit though. Ask her, if you can visit it. Still, we took home few packs of the cinnamon from her garden. On YouTube there is a video of Amuura how it is hand-made! Thank you very much for the pleasant stay, Claire! We would come back anytime....

Since the moment I arrived I fell in love with this house. It is well maintained and the garden and views are beautiful. There is so much peace in this place, so I was able to fully relax, just what I needed. The staff is also welcoming, they make you feel at home and they prepare delicious food.

I’m a solo female traveler, and I stayed only one night. The ocean view is beautiful and the beach. The villa architecture and design are beautiful. The dogs are cute. There is potential for a great place, yet it seems to lack some good care and energy. I am a yoga teacher too, and generally a positive person. Yet, I also like when things are transparent and honest. I love giving positive reviews, when it’s deserved, yet here I guess this is is the second time in life that I will note that much on the downside.

I had such a wonderful time at Amuura Beach Villa that I genuinely didn’t want to leave on the last day! The sunsets were breathtaking, and the early mornings—when the world was still asleep—felt magical. Sitting by the huge waves crashing into the rocks with those beautiful colours in the sky was pure serenity. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and chatty, making it feel more like a home than just a stay. The villa itself was beautifully decorated, with a cosy, homely vibe. My bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. A lovely surprise was that the villa has pets! They were so sweet and added to the homely atmosphere—I absolutely loved having them around. Surprisingly, there were fewer mosquitoes than I expected, especially after reading earlier reviews, and the mosquito net added extra peace of mind. The communal bathrooms were also very clean, and it was a nice touch to have a hair dryer available. The whole place felt very safe, and the safety deposit box was a great feature. I loved that I could leave the terrace or balcony doors open at night and still feel secure. The Wi-Fi was available, though it wasn’t the strongest.

“Adventurous stay with personalized attention”

We stayed at this hotel with extended family. The hotel has an exceptional team doing all they can to keep the guests happy. Buddhika, Vijay and the rest of the team did everything they could to arrange the best trips and prepare wonderful dinners for us. Food was sourced from fresh fish markets. The hotel has a very chilled vibe with a beautiful garden and fantastic sea views. Ideal to relax and spend quality time with an extended group of family or friends.

“Stunning but hot & lots of mosquitoes”

Not too far from airport. Swimming pool is small but perfect for just a dip or to cool down. Unbeatable location. Beautiful and very well kept house. Right by the beach. Beach is not the cleanest but it’s a public beach and out of Amuura’s control. The meals and drinks they provide are delicious. There is a great variety to choose from. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to try make our stay perfect, however, if it wasn’t for the lack of extra fans, lack of air-con and mosquitoes we would have stayed longer.

Wonderful staff, really friendly and they go out od their way to make everything possible for you. Lovely room, comfortable beds, clean showers with windows to the ocean, delicious food. 10/10!!

Totally nice, attentive and helpful staff. Buddhika even enquired after our onward journey whether everything had gone well. On-site massage, private surf lesson and boat safari were spontaneously organised and arranged. Beautiful, lovingly furnished accommodation with a shared bathroom. The sound of the sea to fall asleep and wake up to was great. We would love to come back!

I had an amazing time in Amuura Beach Villa and I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is a lovely and quiet house by the beach, where I stayed 3 nights to work remotely and get some rest. Special thanks to Buddhika and the rest of the team who organized a shuttle, prepared amazing meals and coffee, and made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I read in the comment that some guests had complained about the lack of AC but it was not an issue for me at all, since the house is located by the beach and always has a bit of wind. Also, I could go to sleep with the sound of waves ;) In the morning/evening, they would prepare a table for me in the garden by the beach so that I could enjoy my meal with a nice view. The hotel doesn't have any restaurant but they can prepare meals for you and the quality is really good ! If I had a chance to go back to Sri Lanka, I would definitely book this hotel again.

I am really happy for the manager of the hotel that took really good care of me. He also picked me up from the hotel where I spent my days next to the hotel swimming pool. He made in the evening always beautiful dinner with the view on sunset.

Everything is perfect, we liked this absolutely stunning villa. Thanks a lot our hospitable hosts for this amazing and stylish place. The villa is 2 steps from the beach and has a landscaped green area with hammocks and sun loungers. Rooms are comfortable and cozy. I strongly recommend this place, it is the best choice, we were so happy to stay here
