The view is amazing, you can see the fjord and sea from cabin, I really enjoy. The room is clean and warm.

Berunes Hi Hostel is a place that is built from the heart. If you are looking for warm Icelandic owners that are deeply rooted in their region go here. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Wonderful stay in a local family house farm. The owner is very welcoming and can happily give me information about the history of the space. The house is gorgeous, well equipped. It feels like we are back in time. The bed are incredibly comfortable. I can only recommend for a true local stay. *the restaurant stopped operating after the high summer season. Kitchen at disposal, plan for some food ahead!

One of the best places we stayed in all Iceland. It’s right on the fjord with scenic views around and the accommodation itself is great! Very cosy and comfortable, with attention to detail, every room or house was special in its own way and provided everything you might need. We came for one night, but stayed for two as we didn’t want to leave. You can enjoy food from the restaurant on site or cook it in a shared kitchen. The staff and especially the owner very super nice, responsive and attentive. Highly recommend!

We spent a whole week in Iceland, and this was my favourite place where we stayed for the night. The dinner experience was excellent. First off, the atmosphere in the reception/restaurant was impeccable. Light music in the background, warm lights and great interior design/furniture. Second, THE FOOD! Everything was delicious, a 10/10 experience. Bonus: the road to get to Berunes (we were coming from the south) is simply breathtaking. Thank you for having us!

“Wonderful restaurant and cozy accommodation”
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Our wooden chalet was small and cozy, well equipped and had a fridge and 2 armchairs. However what made our stay really good was the dining room. The 4 course evening meal was superb, with local produce and home cooking. The food and drink were very good value for Iceland, the best value meal we have had all week. The breakfast was also really excellent. The family running the place made us very welcome. Would highly recommend this for a relaxed stay.
